Record from and manage up to 16 cameras with the DS-7616NI-I2/16P 16-Channel 12MP 4K NVR with 2TB HDD from Hikvision. This NVR supports IP cameras up to 12MP. It is equipped with two SATA ports that each support an HDD up to 10TB, for a maximum capacity of 20TB (2TB preinstalled). Record from and manage up to 16 cameras with the DS-7616NI-I2/16P 16-Channel 12MP 4K NVR with 2TB HDD from Hikvision. This NVR supports IP cameras up to 12MP. It is equipped with two SATA ports that each support an HDD up to 10TB, for a maximum capacity of 20TB (2TB preinstalled). We purchased this NVR to take over for a Honeywell device and the difference is night and day. The Hikvision is easy to use and comes with a multitude of features that make it stand out above the competition. Where there were issues with the previous NVR, this Hikvision excels, further, upgrading the device's firmware is a breeze. Thanks to B&H experts we were able to make certain that everything we purchased was compatible, the NVR and cameras came online with no issue. They were also able to help us with the correct mounting hardware. Highly recommended.

16ch POE NVR with a ton of features...what's not to like?! I replaced a nonbranded NVR that would not work with some newer 4k cameras that I bought. This NVR worked perfectly and since B&H is an AD for Hikvision, I know if I have an issue they can help me!

This is a great NVR, from an industry leader. This IS indeed a US version, allowing you to get support, and easily update the firmware in the device. The only thing I did not like about it, was the rack mounting ability. It drooped bad. The ears they gave with it allowed WAY too much movement, I am assuming the engineers

What is the difference between DS-7616NI-I2/16P and DS-7616NI-Q2?

There are a few differences between them. The Q2 model can handle up to 4K/8MP resolution, 160 Mb/s incoming and 80 Mb/s outgoing bandwidth, and can do playback for 1 4K and 4 1080P channels at a time. The I2 model can handle up to 12MP resolution, 160 Mb/s incoming and 256 Mb/s outgoing bandwidth, and can do playback for up to 4 4K/8MP cameras and 16 1080P channels at a time.

This unit says it can decode 4 x 4K streams. Does that mean it can only record 4 x 4K streams at a time, or can it only display 4 x 4K streams at a time? If I wanted this NVR to record 6 x 4K cameras, would it work?

The key features state the unit has long distance ...

The key features state the unit has long distance network transmission via PoE up to 300m. I assume that means you can have a camera wired at that distance. If that is true, how many can you have wired long distance? I also noticed in the camera PoE settings that you have a long distance option for each channel.

You assume correctly, in that you can have a camera wired up to that distance. Hikvision does not specify how many can be set up that way.
