2-Channel Portable Receiver with Two Bodypack Transmitters and Lav Mics Kit (Ch. 14 to 25) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Lav Mic Setup This setup works well for anyone looking for wireless lav mics. The transmitters are lightweight and reliable and the receiver is slightly heavier. If you are not familiar with lav mics or sound equipment, there is a steep learning curve, but Sony does a nice job on their website of providing documentation and tutorials. My only complaint is that the receiver eats through batteries like crazy. The transmitters last much longer than the receiver does. Make sure you pack spare batteries!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic solution for almost any 2-channel wireless audio! This came perfectly packaged and was easy to set up. Plenty on online Sony discussions on product usage and features to get you going. Run and gun shooting works great with this audio solution and the range is nuts! Clear sound and syncing is done in a flash! Definitely worth considering for the price and as a complete solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly with FS5! This, along with the SMADP3D, provides a totally cable-free and battery-free solution on my FS5.  Just make sure the SMADP3D is the dual channel version, not mono.  Very happy with it, highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best system so far! Ive had and used all of Sonys Prosumer wireless mic versions, and this is the best so far!  Signal is very clean, and very easy to set up frequencies after reading through the manual once.  Very highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well I have used Lectrosonic for years and wanted to try this on my FS7 MK2 with no cables. It works well, but sound is not nearly as good at the Lectrosonic LR/LT but then again that is twice the price. Still a good option I will keep using. Will try a Saken mic and see if that helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why didn't I get this earlier!? It works beautifully and paired with the hot shoe mount for my sony cameras makes it even easier for on the go recording. If you're looking for a small gear footprint, this 2 channel wireless system by Sony is PERFECT. It's literally plug and play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from From Tethered to Wireless I do a lot of documentary style videos and have used Sony tethered lavalier mics to do interviews with the audio feeding into a four channel Tascam DR-70 field recorder. I shoot with a Canon C100 Mk II and use an NTG-2 to feed the audio into the camera and then sync the Tascam and C100s audio in post. This has served me well until I had to do two conferences with two speakers talking simultaneously …. and walking around a fair bit. I could not tether them this time. Enter the dual channel Sony URX-P03D and two UTX-B03 transmitters. I fed the audio into the Tascam and was thoroughly impressed with the sound quality I received from them. The conferences were 3 hours plus and the transmitters were still showing a full charge on the AA batteries. Amazing! I wished I had switched to this type of audio capture earlier. Next upgrade will be from the Tascam to a Shure or Sound Devices field recorder. But the sound I got from the Tascam and the Sony wireless is still very high quality. I did not have any opportunity to see how far they reached (I was within 50 feet of the speakers) but for what I do they are solid! Would I recommend these? Absolutely.

When used with an FS5, does it open channels 3 & 4 in the camera, enabling me to record it on them, leaving channels 1 & 2 for the XLR inputs? I see positive answeres here for the FS7, I need to know about the FS5. Thank you!
Asked by: Zvi
Unfortunately, this will not work with the FS5 as it only supports 2 channels of audio. You may however use the URX-P03D's stereo input to connect additional line devices and use the built-in mixing feature to balance the audio between wireless mics and the external audio device.

Can I use Countryman mics on this unit?
Asked by: DAVE G.
Hi Dave, In addition, yes you can as long as they have locking 3.5mm connectors like the Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic, Standard Sens, with Hardwired 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sony Wireless Transmitters (Black). -Jen

Whats the maximum working range of this system? Any better than the Sennheiser eg100 series? looking to use as a camera hop. thanks.
Asked by: sammy t.
They both operate on 30 mW of RF output power. They estimate a range of approximately 490 feet. Keep in mind that is in optimal conditions. These systems work best line of sight and usually a safer assumption of range is generally half of that depending on the area.

Which band range is future proof? As the FCC sells off more and more bandwidth, I'd like to know which range is most likely to be usable in the future.
Asked by: David
It looks like UHF channels 14-36 will remain available (anything below 608 Mhz). You will still have several years to transition even if you're outside that range.

Why does this 'kit' include Kapul cables when decent cables are included with the Sony Receiver?

Hi Brian P, Probably because Sony does not list them as an included accessory. Ralph

No hot shoe mount. you need SMADP3D. But it only works with smart shoes. Maybe even only SONY smart shoes. NOT sure. If you have that It does allow to put those two channels on 3&4.
