Not to my knowledge. Cello makes the only grips I would consider but they haven’t made one for the R yet that I’m aware of.

What battery/batteries go in the side hinged compartment on the insertion portion of the battery grip?
One or two LP-E6/N go into the grip. No other battery is required. AA batteries cannot be used (as on other Canon models, this is particular of 5D4) either.The part that gets into the camera body is just a vertical part with connectors and a small place to put the camera's battery door, NO battery goes inside it.Cheers!
