Kanto Living YU6 Reviews
Great sound
Very solid sound in a small-ish package. Easy to connect and contain both a pre-amp and integrated bluetooth, which makes it nice and streamlined. Didn't compare to YU4, but these don't feel huge if size is an issue.
Very Nice
I'm impressed by how nicely made these are, and they sound very good too. I like having the option of plugging music sources in, including a turntable without a preamp. They paired with my MP3 player without a hitch. Wish I could say the same for my laptop, but it seems to have a problem (the laptop). It's in the shop now and I hope my guy can figure out what's wrong. The packaging is impressive too--everything very simple and safe. I'm very pleased with them and can't wait to hear them in my cabin in the boonies where they'll replace an old JVC boombox.
Just what we wanted
Although we had to wait (due to backorder) these finally arrived 3 weeks after xmas. Hooked up to old record player and the fun began. Good sound and useful bluetooth, or old school hook ups. Black cases show dust fyi. Might pick a lighter color if that's an issue in your house (as it is in mine!).
Great Sound. Nicest speakers I've heard in this price range.
Worth every penny. Loud with no distortion and great detail when paired with the at-lp60xbt turn table.
Needs Phone App Control
These are nice speakers. The sound is very good. The control through the remote is useful, but could be better. I remote app on the phone is really all that is missing from these speakers.
Sadly Disappointed
I was really looking forward to loving this speakers. I had read numerous reviews claiming these were among the best at this price point. Upon unboxing my set, the first reaction I had was, “what’s this white crud all over the center cap?!” It looks like a preschooler was in charge of gluing the center dust cap on. There was white glue residue all around the cap. Not just one speaker cap: BOTH. It looks like junk. I’ve had better looking $10 speakers. I can’t wrap my mind around how these left the factory like this; it’s very visible and obvious. Considering there are no speaker grills, you would think Kanto would make them look nice. I didn’t want to go through the hassle of return shipping. If I had been able to get these locally, I would have returned them. I scraped the glue off as carefully as I could and colored the remainder with a Sharpie marker so that it’s difficult to see. Really, Kanto? I would recommend looking at another brand. I also have the Klipsch R-15PM which have not disappointed. Wish I could upload a photo.
Excellent Compact Bookshelf Speakers
I bought these as a gift for my son. He is using them in his college dorm room. They sound really great and they do even better if you pair them with a subwoofer. His only complaint is pairing to Bluetooth could be easier. It is not too bad, but when multiple visitors want to pair to the speaker it is a bit of a pain.
Beautiful and Big Sounding Speakers
Very good speakers for my desk and computer, with their own built in power supply for big sound simply by plugging one wire (or wireless) to the computer or device. Look great and sound great. They are the larger of the Kanto speakers but I bet you'd get good sound out of the YU4 as well.
