The Pentium G4600 3.6 GHz Dual-Core LGA 1151 Processor from Intel has a base clock speed of 3.6 GHz and comes with features such as Intel Hyper-Threading technology. This processor features 2 cores with 4 threads in an LGA 1151 socket and has 3MB of cache memory. Having 2 cores allows the processor to run multiple programs simultaneously without slowing down the system, while the 4 threads allow a basic ordered sequence of instructions to be passed through or processed by a single CPU core. This processor also supports up to 64GB of DDR4-2400/2133 and DDR3L 1600/1333 RAM at 1.35V, has AES New Instructions, 14nm lithography, and utilizes 7th Generation (Kaby Lake) technology.

Graphically, the Pentium G4600 3.6 GHz Dual-Core LGA 1151 Processor uses integrated Intel HD Graphics 630. Included is a CPU cooler and protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty.

    Pentium G4600 3.6 GHz Dual-Core LGA 1151 Processor is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent CPU for a budget build! Almos all the performance of the Core i3 at a fraction of the price. Using this CPU with an ASUS H110M-A/M.2 motherboard for a budget low-end gaming build. The H110M chipset does support Kaby Lake chips, but (WARNING) you may have to upgrade the BIOS first. Mine shipped with a BIOS rev that supports Kaby Lake but others have not been so lucky. I selected this CPU over the G4560 because I am not using a dedicated graphics card yet. The HD630 integrated graphics is significantly better than the HD610 on the G4560. Once I need a GPU, I can easily upgrade to an RX460 (or something better) and have all the performance that I will need. With 2x8GB of RAM, my budget build can play League of Legends on the Highest settings above 60 FPS and enough to play Heroes of the Storm on High at 30FPS. Nothing earth shattering, but meets my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kaby Lake Pentium with Hyperthreading again! Yes! Get a new B250 board and this cpu with the new M2 ssd slot (load o/s and most used programs on 126 or 256gb) you'll have one of the fastest units around at a minimum cash out lay! I put mine together with a ssd and it beats the fire out of an i-7 on the old 1155 board we had! Yes I love my new pentium!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly Powerful Replaced an i3-6100 with the G4600 in my Plex server and the the inclusion of the HD630 seals the deal. I can transcode multiple 4K HEVC files through the GPU. The use of Ubuntu as the OS makes the processor feel very nimble and at no point have I felt the system was underpowered. If you are planning to do heavy multitasking on a primary desktop with Windows it might be a bit lightweight. For my money it is an outstanding value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Processor Best Pentium intel has released in a long time. Hyper-Threading helps this perform a lot better then past ones. This is almost as good as the i3.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best CPU for an affordable work station This is the best option you have if you don't need a fancy GPU.
