  • 1Description

Ready for 7th Generation Intel Core Kaby Lake processors and 24/7 operation, the TUF Z270 Mark 1 LGA 1151 ATX Motherboard from ASUS possesses all the looks, durability, and cooling that The Ultimate Force (TUF) motherboards are known for. Thermal Armor and SafeSlot provide ducted airflow and PCIe rigidity, while Thermal Radar 2 and TUF Detective 2 provide improved cooling and system monitoring. This motherboard is designed to fit in standard sized ATX cases. The TUF Z270 Mark 1 supports both 6th and 7th generation Intel Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium, and Celeron processors, the LGA 1151 socket, and the Z270 chipset. This motherboard is compatible with Windows 10 (64-bit), 8.1 (64-bit), and 7 (32/64-bit) operating systems, although Windows 8.1 and 7 are only supported with 6th generation processors. Also supported is USB 3.1 Type-A and Type-C, each of which can achieve data transfer rates of up to 10 Gb/s, as well as a Thunderbolt header for a Thunderbolt add-on card.

The ATX form factor of the TUF Z270 Mark 1 can support 64GB of RAM and comes with four 288-pin dual-channel DIMM slots that can each hold 16GB of DDR4 3866 (OC), 3733 (OC), 3600 (OC), 3466 (OC), 3400 (OC), 3333 (OC), 3300 (OC), 3200 (OC), 3000 (OC), 2800 (OC), 2666 (OC), 2400 (OC), and 2133 MHz memory. It also has a total of 6 x SATA III 6 Gb/s ports that support RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10, 2 x M.2 Socket 3 connectors that support SATA & PCIe SSDs, 1 x 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Type-C port, 1 x 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Type-A port, 6 x USB 3.0/2.0 ports (4 at the back panel, 2 at the front), 8 x USB 2.0/1.1 ports, and 2 x Gigabit LAN ports. For those looking to expand their system using PCIe, there are 2 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 slots (single at x16, dual at x8/x8), 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (max at x4), and 3 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x1 slots.

For delivering sharp, clear graphics, this motherboard supports integrated Intel HD Graphics with access to up to 1,024MB of shared graphics memory and is equipped with HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs. There is also multi-GPU support for NVIDIA 2-Way SLI technology and AMD 3-Way CrossFireX technology. Using the SupremeFX 8-Channel ALC S1220A HD audio codec, this motherboard can support optical audio using its S/PDIF audio-out jack.

The TUF Z270 Mark 1 has also been designed with TUF features such as Dust Defender, TUF Capacitors, TUF Chokes, TUF MOSFETs, Thermal Armor TUF Fortifier, TUF ESD Guards 2, TUF LANGuard, and TUF ICE, as well as other ASUS motherboard features, such as Japanese Solid Capacitors, AI Charger, CrashFree BIOS 3, MemOK!, Q-Connector, Q-Design, Q-Shield, TPU, AI Suite 3, UEFI BIOS, DTS Connect, USB BIOS Flashback, Turbo LAN, EZ Flash 3, AURA lighting, DTS Headphone X.
