The shell of the case, and the latch are made of the quality materials you expect from Pelican. however the inside is made of some plastic form with a felt like covering. Problem is only friction holds the cards in, and it is difficult to get them in just right so that when you open the case again they don't fall out. OK for home storage, but maybe not in the field where you might drop a card in sand, mud, water, or where you could not recover it.

question
Do they make one that holds 12 microSD cards. I have no use for the mini SD slots.
Sorry, there no other card holders by Pelican. Here is one that will hold 10. SD Card Holder microSD 10 Slot Cardholder (Yellow) B&H # SD10SCHY. Here one that will hold 12 cards of any size however the efficacy in holding 12 microSD is open to question. The cards, once inserted, would not been seen. Lowepro S&F Memory Wallet 20 B&H # LOSFMW

Does the case have a way to identify cards that are full?
No, the Pelican 0915 Memory Card Case for 12 SD, 6 miniSD, and 6 microSD Cards (Black) does not have a way to indicate the state of the cards. One can use ones own system, such as flipping the cards upside down, but the case itself has no indicators.
