A versatile zoom covering wide-angle to portrait-length perspectives, the Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8 II ASPH. POWER O.I.S. Lens from Panasonic is designed for Micro Four Thirds cameras, where it provides a convenient 24-70mm equivalent focal length range. A constant f/2.8 maximum aperture affords consistent performance throughout the zoom range, and benefits working in difficult lighting conditions as well as enables greater control over depth of field. The sophisticated optical design employs a series of aspherical, low dispersion, and high refractive index glass elements to control a variety of aberrations and distortions for sharp, clean image quality and a Nano Surface Coating has also been applied to reduce ghosting and flare. A POWER Optical Image Stabilizer minimizes the appearance of camera shake to suit handheld shooting, and this O.I.S. system is also compatible with Dual I.S. for enhanced stabilization performance. Additionally, the lens also features a durable all-metal housing that is dust, splash, and freezeproof to enable its use in harsh climates.

Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8 II Reviews
This is what I needed in my camera bag
I have several Panasonic lenses that I use with my trusty G7 taking photos of my teenagers playing volleyball and acting in a theatre. In most of the cases I was using G 42.5mm f/1.7 which I love but sometimes I needed wider angle but no space to move back. That's where 12-35 came to play. It is fast focusing and with nice wide aperture you can freeze action even in a dim light. Images are sharp and beautiful. Focus is fast and sharp. The construction is solid and not too heavy. I recommend it.
I love it!
Great little all around lens for low light! Perfect for weddings, commercials, promos and corporate events!
Broken after less than 2 years
The manual focus ring and also the autofocus stop working after 1y and 3 months (using it less than 1 time a month).. Panasonic offers 3 years warranty for this lens but Its not worldwide warranty as I expected.. Unfortunately my first experience with Panasonic lens is not being good.
Just what I needed..
It's the perfect depth for me and my solo shooting work flow. I plan to buy a longer lens later but happy I purchased this one first!
Great for doc-style shoots, events where there’s light
I’d give this a 4.5 but I’m leaning more towards 4 than 5 lately. This lens is a great size, easy to use and covers that essential 24-70 FF focal length. Its awesome on the GH5 with the dual IS—and very solid if you’re looking for a little more stability on the GH5S. I’ve been using the 12mm f1.4 and Voigtlander 17.5 f.95 more in this focal range—they have more character in this focal range IMO, and are faster... but the versatility of the 12-35 ii can’t be denied and I’m reluctant to part with it. I shot a doc-style feature using this lens about 75% of the time, but it’s not a go-to for me like it was then—a couple years back. High floor, low ceiling type of lens but a good one to have for MFT. The 35-100 ii, on the other hand, is wildly underrated...
My favorite lens I can say ever as an almost perfect produc
Sure it has been in production Series I for almiost ten years. Yet the price at B and H has actually decreased since my first sample. A complex lens that covers the most typical range of fixed lenses for the micro four thirds sensor. It is moderate size and weight and the construction is non pareil. Many elements work to make it zoom smoothly. it also has image Lens stabilization where that helps. Paired with the 35-100 one has a match made in heaven...well close. The F 2,8 suits my needs....a great balance of aperture and size and cost. I owned the Series One and used and used it until it failed in combat so to speak....out of warranty I opted for the Series I which by the way has a tigher fitting petal lens hood. I just love this optic, and use it so very often as first choice...yes I have some specialty mcro single FL lenses. But zooms are the way to go for this user. Also did I say you get a three year total warranty....nice to know...
Excellent Quality - Great Video/Photo
This lens works really well with my Lumix GH5 II! It focuses quickly, has built-in stabilization, and provides clear images/videos.
Great standard lens
This lens is small, well made and reasonably fast for a lens of its type. It is remarkably sharp, in fact after using it a bit I traded off my 25mm f/1.4 lens which was not quite as sharp. The perfect lens to keep on your MFT camera, regardless of size or brand.
