A long-reaching telephoto zoom for Micro Four Thirds cameras, the Lumix G Vario 100-300mm f/4-5.6 II POWER O.I.S. Lens from Panasonic spans an equivalent 200-600mm range, making it well-suited to wildlife, nature, and sports shooting. The optical design incorporates one extra-low dispersion element to reduce color fringing throughout the zoom range, as well as to provide improved clarity and color accuracy. Benefitting the optics, the lens also houses a quick, quiet, and precise linear autofocus motor as well as a POWER Optical Image Stabilizer, which supports the Dual I.S. function in select Lumix cameras. Additionally, the lens also sports a splash and dustproof construction for use in trying environmental conditions.

Panasonic Lumix G Vario 100-300mm f/4-5.6 II Reviews
It's a learning process
Since I just purchased a 4/3rds camera, I admit that I have a lot to learn. Not just about the camera either. Based upon my old Nikon D5100, my go to lens was the 18-200, and for baseball games, I was often at the 180 to 200mm range, so I figured the 100-300 would be perfect. Except that the GH5ii is a FT camera, and at games, even 100mm seemed to be too much, even from 200 feet away. But, with that being said, this lens is a nice lens and I have no regrets with it. It just does not get used as much as I thought it might, but in my search for the perfect lens, I will say that the Oly 12-100 is Goldilocks' favorite. So, if you want to get up close from a distance, this lens is a steal for the price. Try that with a full frame camera and you will have to really open up the wallet.
Punches above it's weight
This a great lens @ a Great Price. A value lens that works Great
A wonderful lens! The power OIS works remarkably well and I have found it to be very sharp. Wouldn't hesitate to buy it again!
Great lens for the price
The lens is pretty sharp and works well with my G9. The Dual IS is great for hand held shots.
Tough to get sharp photos
I have been using the Lumix 100-300mm lens for about 2 weeks, but I returned it today. It is difficult to get sharp photos with this lens. It works fairly well at 100mm; marginal by 200mm; and poorly between 200 and 300mm. I went out about 5 times to test the lens and was disappointed each time. I did get some sharp photos with it, but not a high enough percentage to rely on it. I got the best results by stopping it down to f8, shooting in bright sunlight, and keeping the shutter speed to at least 1/800 second. I do not recommend this lens. It is a good bit of work to get sharp photos with it, and the colors lack vibrance. The lens is well built, good looking, easy to use, and has a great telephoto range. I really wanted to like it, but the low percentage of sharp photos killed it for me. B&H, as always, is great to buy from and I will continue to buy from them with confidence. In fact, I have already ordered a Panasonic/Leica f2.8-f4 50-200mm lens to replace this one. I would have preferred to have the extra 100mm of telephoto reach of this lens, but I expect to get better photos with the Leica glass. You get what you pay for, the Leica lens cost almost 3 times the price of this one.
This is a great lens for birdwatching and further wildlife adventures . Combined with the G9 camera -what a combination.
I used to carry big and heavy similar lenses. Now this is much lighter and its quality is exceptional! It's very affordable and I highly recommend it!
Love this lens. Nice and light with great clarity. I like to photography animals and this lens easily fits right through the cyclone fence elimination any distractions.
