CyberPowerPC SLC8480BH overview

  • 1Description

The Gamer Supreme Liquid Cool Desktop Computer from CyberPowerPC is built for those who wish to take gaming and multimedia performance to the next level. Powered by a 4.2 GHz Intel Core i7-7700K Quad-Core processor and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card with 8GB of GDDR5X VRAM, it can handle everything from everyday tasks to gaming at high-to-ultra settings. Furthermore, you can connect multiple displays using its DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort for a multi-monitor setup. Its 32GB of DDR4 RAM lets you efficiently multitask and can be upgraded to a max of 64GB by replacing the pre-installed modules.

For storage, it's equipped with a 480GB solid-state drive and a 3TB 7200 rpm hard drive. Should you need more room, you can connect external storage solutions using its multiple USB ports or install your own storage drives. Connect to the Internet using 802.11ac Wi-Fi or the Gigabit Ethernet jack for a more stable and reliable wired connection. The operating system installed is Windows 10 Home (64-Bit), and it comes with a USB gaming keyboard and mouse, so you can get started right out of the box.

Windows 10

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.

    CyberPowerPC SLC8480BH reviews

Gamer Supreme Liquid Cool Desktop Computer is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gaming PC, butneeds extra cooling. Now that I have had this PC fora little while, I think its time for a review. Let me start by saying that the system was very well put together and wired minus a few things that we will get into in a second. The packaging was also top notch with foam inside the system to support the giant GTX 1080 inside. Overall performance is GREAT, BUT please beware... The cooling setup was not... we'll say wasn't very well thought out. There are NO intake fans... NONE... with a GTX 1080 BLOWER (sucks in air from the inside of case and exhausts out the back) BEFORE PLAYING A GAME AT MAX SETTINGS FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME... GO BUY ATLEAST ONE INTAKE FAN TO BLOW ON THE GTX 1080 ORMOVE THE TOP EXHAUST FAN DOWN TO THE FRONT BLOWING ON THE CARD.With the stock fan setup, the GTX 1080 reaches 80 degrees Celsius within 30 minutes of Ghost Recon: Wildlands - Next, the radiator for the i7 7700k has a push-pull setup.Which is what you want... but the fansarenot the same and do not run at the same RPMs. So, what I ended up doing,is replacingthe stock NZXT case fans, for basic Thermaltake Radiator fans w/the White LED (what is already on the push side of the radiator)This is also what I added for the front intake fans (mainly just to matchand are fairly cheap) After this cooling setup, my tempsare WAY below hot. GAMING Temps w/ OUT OF BOX SETUP: CPU: 55-65 / GPU: 70+++ GAMINGTemps w/ NEW SETUP: CPU: 35-55 / GPU: 45-60ish (CPU and GPU both start to throttlearound 80 Celsius, sobasically an extra 15-45 bucks is worth it) The next issue, that I think a lot of people have, is the lack of info on ALL of CyberPowerPC's Prebuilds. Including information that was given in the box. Below is info I feel is missing: - Motherboard: CyberPowerPC z270 SLI Xtreme - From what I have found, this is an AsRock z270Killer SLI board, minus a few features like onboard 5.1 surround sound(someone please correct me if I am wrong) I also haven't found where to update the bios if needed - RAM: 32GB DDR4 2133MHz by TeamGroup - The motherboard supports 3200MHz, sothis is upgradeable. - Video Card: EVGA GTX 1080 Blower - SSD: Intel SSD 600P Series - This drive is set as the default drive, so pay attention before you start installing all those Steam games :) Final Thoughts: I'm still giving this system a 5 star review with how well this system was built and packaged, and the overall products inside for the amount of money the system cost. As I stated before, after spending a little extra money on some extra cooling, this system literally does and plays EVERYTHING without any issues. I hopethis reviewhelps out anyfuture and/orprevious buyers of this system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautifully assembled BEAST! This PC is amazing! It's extremely fast, has plenty of storage, and is whisper quiet. I upgraded from a 2014 Retina MacBook Pro. This blows the MBP out of the water! I support an on-demand video site for a local school district. I frequently film and edit videos with multiple camera angles. While the MacBook could barely handle editing ONE full HD camera angle in Adobe Premiere Pro, this beast can handle many many angles at once. It encodes videos very quickly, as well. I am also running 2 monitors and have had zero issues with the GTX 1080 being able to handle everything I've thrown at it. It has saved me countless amount of hours in the few months I've had it. Very satisfied and highly recommend it to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can't stop saying WOW to myself! Nicely packed with high quality soft foam pad. The fan on the back is so nice I cant stop saying WOW to myself. Glad I spent the extra money for quality parts. I think its a 1000 watt power supply also. It started up with no problems but took 1 hour to have the windows 10 happy and current. I then went into the settings / storage to change all future apps and downloads of programs to the 3 T "D" hard drive to keep just the windows 10 on the "C" to keep booting fast. When it boots up it says PRO SERIES and that just makes me feel important :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Purchaser I love the look, extremely clean build - and this says something since you can see inside through a glass panel. Runs fast and quiet. Using it for a high end golf simulator and will add HTC VR for fun once the new 4K version comes out and I'm sorry that I cannot remember what it is for, I just know that I didn't need to do anything with it, thought maybe I needed to plug it in somewhere. Let it dangle. There is a random male HDMI cable coming out the back unsure of the use. Bad news: Called B and H and they had no clue - won't throw the CSR under the bus by naming him. Good News: Called Cyberpower and was connected to tech support rather quickly and they seemed to be based in the States -

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Problems, Solid System Purchased this machine to replace an aging editing workstation. I had bought systems from Cyberpower before and always had good luck with them and was pleased to see they were available here from B&H. System arrived right on time and worked like a champion out of the box. Cables were neatly contained within the system and after some testing we were pleased to find that all ports and connectors were working. (This is a personal pet peeve of mine as I have found that when ordering a system, sometimes people will not hook up the front panel USB ports to the MoBo.) We've had this system a few months at the time of this review and it has performed very well on several projects ran in Adobe CC, primarily Premier and After Effects. It is a high end system and the bar of expectation was already pretty high but this machine has surpassed it. I recommend Cyberpower machines if you know what you want in a configuration. Good stuff.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great performance, no optical drive I bought this computer because the ASUS ROG I wanted from B&H that was also an advanced I7 based computer did not arrive at B&H when it was expected in-store on Feb 2, and the date changed to unknown. I cancelled that order and went with this one, since it was similar and in stock (and has 512 gig SSD vs. 256 gig for the hybrid drive). My intent was to have a computer that is VR-ready, and certainly this computer fills the bill. It's blazing fast, quiet, and of course has the top-rated GTX 1080 video card. That combined with a 512 gig SSD makes for flawless game play. I am using the Oculus Rift Vsetup and I am very happy with the combination of this computer and the Oculus. I can set every VR program I've used so far on the highest video settings without exceeding the computer's capabilities. It seems to me the Microsoft Store demo of the Oculus I tried had a pronounced screen door effect on the video inside the goggles but I do recall they were running a slower GTX 970 card, so I suspect the video capabilities were barely good enough for VR. Not so with this computer -- VR is extremely sharp and focused, with such low pixelation it's easy to forget you're looking at a screen. I do fault this desktop for inadequate paper documentation -- it comes with a paper quick start guide that doesn't cover the fact that the PCI express cord internally must be reconnected to the end receptacle, not the middle one (has to be removed and reattached to get the packing foam out); that you must connect the two small antennae (needed for wifi, you might miss them in the box); or that the dangling HDMI cord has to be reconnected to an HDMI port on the back of the computer for the top/fwd HDMI plug to work. There's a dvd included with drivers & instructions (?), but you can't play it on your computer since there is no optical drive (and you won't install one since the front panel has no slots for an internal dvd player). You will need an external optical drive for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome computer I bought this to replace an old Dell. The specs on this were too good to pass up. Best price I could find was here on B&H. It is super fast and boots in around 10 sec. It plays For Honor with ease. I will try Wither 3 in the near future. I don't have any doubt this unit will run it no problem. It's overall a great value that won't need anyupdating anytime soon. Cons: Keyboard is cheesy and feels kind of cheap. So is the mouse. The tower is really big. Not an issue for me but maybe for some. Not really a con but there is an HDMI cable that sticks out the back. It connects to the HDMI port on the front. Not sure why it's there since the graphic card has plenty of video outs on it already.3 display ports, 1 DVI, and 1HDMI. I guess if you need another one they provide that cable. Overall, really happy with this system.
