K&M 19790 Overview

The 19790 Tablet PC holder can be attached to any 5/8" microphone stand and the support arms can accommodate tablets ranging in height from 8.661 to 13.031" and widths from 5.039 to 9.134". It is compatible with the following devices: iPad, iPad Air, iPad Pro, Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, Samsung Galaxy Tab from 9.7, Google Nexus 9, Asus Transformer, or Microsoft Surface as well as Surface Pro, and more. Additionally, the depth of the tablet can vary between 0.236 and 0.433".

Additionally, tablets can be attached and detached quickly and simply through a snap lock. A handy wing nut allows the adjustment of the angle and allows the tablet to be switched between portrait and landscape positions.

The mechanism is fine as is the craftsmanship. My problem with this lies in the fact that I have the Apple pen attached to the side of the iPad using a 3rd party cover. If used the way it was intended, on of the arms would prevent one from accessing the pen. The workaround for this issue is to mount the iPad with the pen on the side where the arms are furthest apart. This creates a new problem: It is impossible to get to the on/off switch.

How do I attach this to a light stand?

To attach this tablet holder to a light stand, use the CAMVATE Light Stand Mount with 1/4"-20 Screw & 5/8" Male Adapter, BH #CAC1939. This adapter attaches to the 5/8-inch stud on the top of a light stand, and the table holder would screw on to the 5/8-inch threaded portion on the top.
