Hawke Optics updated this version of the gray 8x42 Vantage Binocular with a larger field of view and an improved grip versus the previous iteration, with the same eye to maximize performance without having to break the bank. They are outfitted with BAK4 roof prisms and anti-reflection coatings to produce images that are crisp and clear with improved color and contrast, and its moderate magnification provides a 346' field of view at 1000-yards to give you an immersive observational experience. A center, fast-focus mechanism runs through the entire focus range in just 2.4 turns, so your initial focus is fast and tracking moving subjects is easy.

Complementing the optical performance is a lightweight and durable polycarbonate chassis that not only reduces weight without sacrificing strength, but the material is temperature-resistant so it will not expand and contract the way metal does. Over time, thermal expansion and contraction can cause the optical components to move out of alignment, preventing the binocular from being able to achieve sharp focus. A thicker armor offers better protection from drops and impacts while an improved textured grip ensures secure handling in cold and wet weather. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to make them waterproof and fogproof.
