The TS500-E8-PS4 V2 Mainstream Barebone Tower Server from Asus is built for both workstation and server use. It is compatible with the Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 v3 product families, 8 DIMMs, six expansion slots, three 5.25” media bays, and a single 500W 80 plus Bronze power supply. The premium components offer up to 94% VR efficiency as well as a complete remote management solution.

The tower server has 4 HDD bays and optional ASUS PIKE II upgrade kit performing high flexibility. There are four 3.5" hot-swap SATA/SAS HDD bays and is also upgradable to eight HDD bays for flexible storage requirement. Besides working as a pedestal server, the TS500-E8-PS4 V2 is also rack-mountable with the rack-mount kit (sold separately), saving space.
Asus PIKE II & 12G SAS Integration
ASUS PIKE II offers the 12 Gb/s SAS together with PCI-E 3.0 solution. While ASUS 12 Gb/s SAS doubles the data rate of the previous generation, PCI-E 3.0 offers high reliability and a faster connection. It supports 6 Gb/s SATA and 12 Gb/s SAS storage with integrated RAID data protection. Installing the PIKE II card can immediately enlarge the capacity, improve the performance, and strengthen the signaling. Additionally, multiple HBAs allow multi-paths which improve over performance.
Server & Workstation Dual Use
There are 6 expansion slots include 2 PCI-E Gen3 x16 slots supporting up to x16 link perfectly for graphic applications.

With ASUS Beat Thermal Chokes, Dr. MOS, it delivers great durability and up to 94% VR efficiency. TS500-E8-PS4 V2 has durable 12k solid capacitors that are able to withstand up to 12,000 hours of high ambient temperatures. These 12K capacitors also boast lower equivalent series resistance (ESR) for increased efficiency and minimal heat generation.
Complete Remote Server Management
With the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) 2.0-compliant ASMB8-iKVM module in TS500-E8-PS4 V2 you'll be able to monitor, control and manage the server remotely. ASUS Server Web-based Management (ASWM) Enterprise has a simple and intuitive web-based graphical user interface. Save time and effort by flashing the BIOS remotely, use the new screen-recording function for quick and easy trouble-shooting.
