Busted my Nikon, SB speedlight

so my four minth-old Nikon SB speed light is now busted, after using this bolt twice, once to test and once for a brief photo shoot, detaching from the speed light, it took off one of the connection prongs in my speed light, I can no longer use any other adapters as this Bolt busted the speed light. Avoid this like the plague I'm out nearly 600 dollars.

Product is much lighter than my rechargeable battery pack. I bought it because I can just switch out the batteries if it starts to run out of juice as opposed to having to recharge its battery. Maintained good connection with my Canon flashes-600 EXII-RT. It increased my flash time immensely and I feel much more confident that my flash will continue to fire with it. I have 3 600's and they all fire much better with this battery pack attached.

Affordable. Takes a lot of batteries. No ports, so no charging the batteries in this pack. Batteries go into a clip, and slides in like loading a gun. Cord goes into Canon flashes, but flashpoint or third party ones don't have the port unfortunately. Button on the top that you hold down to turn on. Lights indicate general battery level. Nice unit. Does what it says it will. Nothing special. Comes with a little dorky pouch, probably just slide into a back pocket. Wire is a bit annoying if you're not used to it. First gig with it is Monday at the Last of Us premiere... wish me luck. @EclipticPhoto

My 430EX II has a small port on the side opposite the battery compartment. The input device has to be round in shape as the hole in the port is round. That tells me that at some point, some manufacturer made something to fit into the port. Maybe it was a battery pack, or maybe it was an "extension" to trigger another flash unit. Anybody on the B&H staff know?

Unfortunately, this Bolt P12 can only accept Alkaline AA and Nickel Metal Hydride AA batteries.
