A sleek short telephoto prime for FUJIFILM X-series mirrorless cameras, the silver XF 50mm f/2 R WR offers a 76mm equivalent focal length to suit a variety of applications, including portraiture and still lifes. The lightweight design and bright f/2 maximum aperture benefit working in low-light conditions and also afford a high degree of control over depth of field for selective focus techniques. The optical design features one aspherical ED element, which controls distortion and color fringing for sharper, clearer results throughout the aperture range. A Super EBC coating is also used to control flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in bright and backlit conditions. Complementing the optics is a stepping motor, along with an internal focusing design, which provides quick and especially quiet focusing performance. Additionally, the lens is weather-sealed to suit working in inclement conditions.

FUJIFILM XF 50mm f/2 R WR Reviews
A new adventure for an old foto
Been using the original Fuji x100 for a decade, but wanted a little more reach while still hand holding. B&H sent me an X-T3 with the 50mm f/2 within one day...I now have the equivalent of 76mm, with old school analog familiarity. Thank you B&H :)
Great small prime
I love this tiny prime lens. It is a great focal length (75mm) & image quality is perfect. I also love that it is weather resistant.
The lens I use for video conference meetings.
Needless to say it is not a perfect, $1000+ lens (see side by side image results on the web), but I am very satisfied with it as a lens for video conferencing software, namely Zoom and FaceTime. Keeping the aperture wider than 4, with the camera about two arm lengths away, I get a nice image, soft background, reasonable autofocus with face detection (can take a few seconds at first), and only very modest focus breathing.
Superbly Average Optic
I've only owned this lens for a bit over a week and haven't had the time to thoroughly put it through its paces, but I can tell you with confidence that this lens is optically excellent. Images are tack sharp straight from F2 (very similar to the Fuji 90mm F2), common aberrations like CA are well-controlled, vignetting generally isn't noticeable, the list goes on. The reserved headline comes from the fact that it's a 50mm lens on APS-C, which translates to a focal length of roughly 76mm in FF terms. The slight shortness compared to the standard 85mm is noticeable in the amount of background compression and bokeh this lens produces (which is fair on this lens, but distinctly average when compared to the Fuji 56mm F1.2). Focusing noise is excellent but focus speed is not. It's blazing fast in good lighting as most lenses are, but in non-optimal lighting focusing speeds take a big hit, becoming even slower than my 16mm F1.4 and 23mm F1.4 lenses despite those being being F1.4 lenses with older focus motor technology. The minimum focus distance on this lens is quite good and image quality remains excellent
Excellent lens!
Great size for my X-T3 and X-T4. Very sharp. Focusing is very fast. Nothing bad to say about this one.
Great Portrait Lens
Lens delivers a very acceptable bokeh and is crystal clear for landscape work. I would recommend.
Gran calidad
Un lente de calidad extrema a un precio insuperable. El bokeh es suave pero no difumina como uno de 1.8 o 1.4 . Es ideal para retratos
Nice Fit for the X-S10
I needed a short telephoto lens for my X-S10 and this fit the bill perfectly. Great colors, very sharp and small. The lens hood is way too big for my needs so I may replace it or just not use one. Very satisfied with my choice.
