This camera has a UHS-I slot but UHS-II will still work with it; the cards are backwards-compatible. :)

I have always bought Nikon. I have A Nikon d5500 now. How does this compare to it?
Asked by: Lisa
There are many things that set these two cameras apart, with the physical size of the body/lenses and the sensor size being the main differences. The D5500 would have a larger APS-C sensor, while the OM-D E-M5 Mark II has a Micro 4/3 sensor. Other minor differences would be that the OM-D E-M5 Mark II has built in image stabilization, a sensor shift function that will give you a single 40 MP image by combining 8 images and an electronic viewfinder, all of which the D5500 would lack. Are you able to change the shutter speed to angle for a full 180 degree shutter? If not, are you able to set the shutter speed to 1/48?
Asked by: Norman
Since this is not a film movie camera and is a digital still camera that can do video, no, there is no shutter angle setting nor is there a 1/48th of a second shutter speed.

question

I have the E-M5 Mark I. It requires you to set the custom white balance using a white sheet of paper, unlike other cameras I have which read a very small rectangle such as from a pocket WhiBal card. Does the Mark II still require the white sheet of paper?
Asked by: John
No. You can meter off a small piece of white paper.I hope this helps.
