Saved my older Hasselblad HC Lenses

After borrowing a Fujifilm GFX 100s from a friend, I decided it was time to upgrade from my Hasselblad H5D and HC lenses. When I saw this adapter I jumped right on it. I had totally forgot that Fujifilm manufactured the older HC lenses (Super EBC Fujinons) so I figured I would give it a try. The adapter saved my HC lenses from the resellers. They work great, only downfall is no Auto-Focus. I'm usually shooting manual in the studio anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. If you're moving on to the GFX from a Hasselblad system and lenses, I would definitely suggest this adapter and save some money on new lenses.

This is a very solid adapter which allows the Fujifilm camera to use Hasselblad glass, which also in turn allows you to photograph at up to 1/800th of a sec using the internal leaf shutter of the Hasselblad glass, giving you greater flexibility. I am using a Hasselblad H 120mm macro lens, which has a far closer focusing distance than the Fujifilm GFX lens. A definite must have to expand the the Fujifilm GFX capabilities. But of course, there is NO AUTOFOCUS!

The FUJIFILM H Mount Adapter G does not create a crop factor between the Hasselblad H-mount medium format lens to a FujiFilm G-mount medium format camera.

Nope. Maximum shutter speed is 1/800th even with the newer Hasselblad shutters.

Is it possible to focus with fully opened aperture but make a shot with a chosen one?
The B&H staff answer is incorrect, or misunderstands the question. The adapter only allows H lenses to be used in stop-down mode, so you only see in the viewfinder through the aperture at which you intend to expose the image. The adapter does NOT allow the camera to operate the way H cameras do, where you are always seeing the maximum aperture and then the desired aperture setting for exposure is set at the last moment prior to exposure. While this limitation is common amongst adapters and not a big deal for tripod-mounted shooting of still objects, it makes it hard to shoot moving subjects or shoot handheld if your exposure aperture is f/8 or smaller. Live view focusing helps a great deal with stopped down lenses but can't overcome a lens set at, say, f/16. You have to open up to max aperture, focus, and then close down the aperture again with this adapter.
