Lightweight at 3.5 lb while measuring only 28 x 5.3”, the Pro-Series Acoustic/Electric by Traveler Guitar is designed to be both portable and playable, giving you a slim body in an antique brown finish while still providing the 24.75” scale neck you’d find on many axes. Both neck and body are fashioned out of solid American hard maple, and the instrument uses a neck-through-body construction to promote sustain and resonance, thus helping to maximize the tonal qualities of such a small instrument.

The neck features an ebonized rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium frets and vintage-style clay dot inlays. The tuning machines, which are nestled within the body itself, are chrome, and offer a 14:1 gear ratio for precise tuning. Just below the tuning machines you’ll find the fixed bridge, as well as both pickups.

For electronics, this guitar is outfitted with a single-coil pickup in the bridge position for traditional electric guitar tones, while an undersaddle piezo pickup is installed to provide acoustic tones when the guitar is amplified. Should you wish to monitor your sound privately, you can do so via a completely passive headphone system dubbed the “Stethophone.” Through a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, you can listen to the vibrations coming off the bridge itself. On the rear of the instrument is a tone-adjusting screw for this passive headphone system.

A detachable wooden lap rest is provided with this guitar for use whilst playing seated. During transportation, you can adjust the lap rest to a stowed position, or store it within the included gig bag (a truss rod adjuster is also provided). If you’ve ever traveled by airplane with your guitar in a gig bag, then you know the feeling of clutching it tightly to your person, ever fearful that someone will order you to check it into the cargo hold, and thus, possibly damage or destroy your precious instrument. This guitar, however, is compact enough to fit conveniently in overhead compartments on most aircraft while leaving plenty of room for other luggage. So, with this guitar, you can walk through the airport on the way to your flight breathing a little easier.
