The M11 protector # 24032, B&H LEM11PB, does not have the flip down rear flap like the M10 protector did. It does however has the drop down door to access the battery and memory card slot. To further answer your question, the M10 protector is not designed to be used with the M11.

Why does is there an extra suede piece for the bottom included, it seems to prevent the screw from fitting?
You would use the extra suede piece if you opt not to use the rear flap for the screw to properly fit into the camera. If you use the rear flap, you need to remove the extra suede piece since as you mentioned it won't fit using both.

The screw is very difficult to remove but can be removed if needed, however then the only thing holding your camera into the case would be friction.

Is a matching strap included with that case?
Hi, No, just the case and LCD leather cover. It fits and feels very well. I researched all the cases available and this is the best I found. I always buy Gariz for all my Leica, but Gariz will not make cases for Leica m10. I hope this helps?
