    Sennheiser 506783 reviews

HD 4.50 BTNC Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with NoiseGard Active Noise Cancellation is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from As good as I anticipated. I was looking for a quality active noise canceling headphones as I am attending online lectures, watching video lectures. I am also an audiophile and want great sound quality headphones. I had made extended researches about the active noise canceling headphones including Bose, Sony, Audio-Technica, Sennheiser and other Chinese brands. I was also thinking about the price range, as I didn't want to invest too much as well as I didn't want a cheap and poor quality one. Finally, I chose this Sennheiser product as I am a big fan of Sennheiser and it comes with reasonable price. I didn't have any doubt about the sound quality but I was skeptical about the noise canceling before I purchased it. Audio quality is excellent especially if you enjoy acoustic songs, you will enjoy clear and crisp sounds, the bass is not boosted but it is perfect. I am living in Jamaica and the place I am studying is noisy, a primary school is my next door and children are playing and making noise all time; Jamaican people love music and play loudly especially on Friday and weekends and there are lots of street parties that make lots of noise. My Sennheiser blocks all kind of noise around me and I can concentrate my study; you will hear little background sounds but you can totally enjoy your music based on my experience comparing with and without noise canceling function. Build quality is pretty good, however, you will feel a pressure on your jaw line and top of your head on your first day. The design is simple but not as pretty as Sony and JBL even it can beat their sound quality and price though. I strongly recommend this product for somebody who is looking a good quality, reasonably priced active noise canceling headphones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for a great pair of headphones I'm no audiophile, but I find the sound to be great. Bluetooth works very well and connects easily to multiple devices. Noise cancelling is good but not distracting. Would definitely purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing headphones Great noise canceling, amazing sound quality and easy to connect. I would say the only negative is the earcup is a bit small.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good Noise Cancellation But Too Many Little Issues The Good: ~The noise cancellation does a good job of quieting noises in an office environment (and everywhere else I've tested it). ~The battery life is good and the recharge time is short. ~The build quality and appearance seem excellent. ~It's capability of producing sound details seems a little ahead of my Panasonic RP-HTX7 headphones. Bonus Good: ~The user experience stays strong if you are chewing while wearing the headphones; the comfort holds steady and the noise of the foam earpads shuffling around stays pretty muted. (This could be nice if you want to chew gum while listening.) The Bad: ~When the headphones turn on or off, a recorded voice says, " 'Ower on" or " 'Ower off". The "p" in "power" gets cut off. Not a deal-breaker, but that mistake doesn't seem like it belongs in a $200 product. ~The "noise floor", which is the hiss sound created by the noise cancellation, is pretty quiet when no music is playing, but when music plays it gets much louder, loud enough that the noise floor partially drowns music at the lowest volume level, and it remains completely audible at the second and third levels. ~The main voice from my favorite artist, Switchfoot, sounds dull. I've never used another device that gets his voice wrong. ~More than 90% of the time I will only want one of the first 3 volume levels because they are as loud as I need and want. This is not enough low-volume levels because often I have to accept a level that is a little more or a little less than I want at the time. ~The soft foam on the headband causes discomfort after some use. Firmer foam would probably have been a better choice. ~The recorded sounds (which say " 'Ower on", "Connected", and " 'Ower off") are always louder than my music, just like how Spotify ads are always louder than the music. It's not loud enough to hurt my ears, but it is obnoxious. Small Gripes: ~The initial learning curve for the controls (power, volume, and pause/skip/play/etc.) is pretty steep. It only takes a few minutes to learn but I did have to look at the instructions. ~The controls always take a moment to use; my thumb fuddles over the different buttons which are very close together looking for the desired control. The controls (except the power button) apply a change to the playback device (my phone in most cases), so I found that if my phone was already out, then it was easier to just use the controls on the phone. ~The "around-ear" design rests behind the back of the ear and on top of the front of the ear. I like it a lot better than on-ear headphones, but its comfort falls short of true over-ear designs. ~The (admittedly very good) all-plastic construction seems merely adquate for a $200 pair of headphones. ~My $50 Panasonic RP-HTX7 headphones are more comfortable, play sounds correctly and clearly more consistently, are more durable, and lighter weight. (Granted, the Panasonic headphones don't have Bluetooth or ANC, but the shortcomings are hard to forgive for 4 times the cost.) ~My Samsung Level In ANC earbuds have a noise floor that is nearly inaudible even in a quiet room, and it does not change when the music plays. While their ANC is slightly less effective and the audio quality is not as good, they do play my favorite artist's voice correctly and they cost 1/3 the price. Related Notes: ~Android doesn't maintain different volume levels for different Bluetooth devices. Sennheiser has no control over this, but I'm used to keeping the Bluetooth volume on my phone at 100% which is the best level to use in my car which has seperate controls. Now that my phone is sharing the volume meter with the headphones, I have to change the volume when I get into my car. I think Bluetooth is nonetheless a big plus on the headphones, but I wish Android was a little smarter about this. ~Phones can see the NFC pairing even when the headphones are turned off. This confused me at first because I didn't realize that the headphones were off and my phone's NFC reported seeing the headphones and tried to pair the Bluetooth, but failed. (After turning the headphones on for real I tried again and it paired right away.) If you get these, the power LED flashes blue 3 times when they turn on and red 3 times when they turn off (in addition to the voice indicator); make sure it is turned on before you try to pair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sounds great but too uncomfortable I really wanted to like these headphones. The audio quality is great, but overall they are too tight on my head, offer very little padding on top, and have a weird over-ear/on-ear hybrid design that while comfortable, smothers your ears and leaves them extremely warm. Also the bluetooth connection was somewhat unstable on my Galaxy phone. I'm sending these back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Noise-muffling rather than noise-cancelling Bought this based on the rave reviews and comparison to BOSE noise-cancelling headphones, but when we put it into use, the background sounds were simply muffled rather than cancelled. All ambient noises could still be hear, but just not as loudly (and yes, we made sure the active noise-cancelling was turned on). Very disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I will return this product before the 30-day deadline. Problem #1: It does not work wirelessly with an IPod radio. #2: The wi-fi connection with my computer goes off and on. #3 The controls on the rim are difficult to distinguish and to operate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Phones! I am very pleased with these phones.... they are compact, the noise cancelling works great and the sound is excellent. I had no trouble pairing with my smart TV which is what I use them for and they block out noise so you can get into the movie soundtrack
