Tokina Cinema Vista 16-28mm II T3 Wide-Angle Zoom Lens (PL Mount, Focus Scale in Feet)
Key Features
  • Covers Full-Frame Sensor Size
  • Suitable for 8K Image Capture
  • Internal Focus Design
  • Parfocal Cinema Zoom
The Tokina Cinema Vista 16-28mm II T3.0 with a PL mount and focus scales marked in feet is a wide-angle zoom lens that covers full-frame sensors and is designed to provide sharp images even when recording images at 8K resolution. Featuring a parfocal design and a T3.0 aperture throughout its zoom range, the lens holds focus throughout the zoom range and does not ramp exposure as you get to the extremes of the zoom range. The lens design also reduces the breathing and image shift sometimes encountered while zooming and focusing. It uses aspherical elements and super-low dispersion glass in its optical design for optimal color correction and minimal distortion.

does this lens has any tripod mount capability?

does this lens has any tripod mount capability?
Asked by: Md.
This lens, like any similar cinema lens, is not normally tripod mounted. There is a 1/4-20 mounting foot but that is meant to be supported by a rod system that is attached to a camera. This provides necessary triangulated support. We strongly advise using the lens in this manner. We say this because if you attach the lens to a tripod with the foot directly and then mount a camera, ever a small one like a mirrorless, you will likely strain the lens and possibly damage it.

Is the image correction rectilinear?
Asked by: John
While the term rectilinear is not used for this lens by Tokina it does offer Aspherical Elements and Super-Low Dispersion Glass which reduces distortion and increases Optical Performance.

question

Does this lens work well with either of the Metabones Speedboosters and MFT/GH5?
Asked by: Sal
If you have an MFT mount camera you should be able to use an EF to MFT mount adapter to use this lens. Keep in mind though that this is a fully manual lens, it will not take advanrtage of the electronic communication that a Metabones Smart Adapter offers. Instead I recommend the Mitakon Zhongyi Canon EF Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II instead. It is a manual adapter.https://bhpho.to/2bG2xhx
