    Pacsafe GII reviews

Carrysafe 50 GII Anti-Theft DSLR Camera Wrist Strap (Black) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and secure, what I was looking for. This wrist strap is comfortable with no obvious stress on any part of the hand or wrist. For my large hands, there was no possibility of the the strap falling off unintentionally. I cannot comment on smaller hands. The steel wires in the strap are not noticeable, the shape of the shoe is good for most cameras, good hardware on the strap. What I have been looking for in a wrist strap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than a neck strap Securely mounts on my A7RIII and by rotating it slightly first in the tripod socket before tightening it down I can still hold the camera, have easy access to buttons, and I'm able to open the battery door as needed. The strap is comfortable and I can get my hand in and out of it easily but not so easy that it will come off if I drop the camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's Blue Feels sturdy enough. Actually it's quite comfortable. Did I mention it's blue?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe in your hand with this strap A bit heavy but no one will snatch your camera away if you are using it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best accessory I've bought in a long time. Solid and strong. So much better than wrapping my neck strap around my hand and wrist and hoping I hold on if I drop my camera. You CAN NOT drop your camera with this strap. It even has a shock absorber built in so there is no sudden shock (I now drop my camera on purpose to use my hand, even when I have my 55-300 lens on - that is how much I trust it). The absorber also automatically relaxes the strap from around the wrist when you grab the camera again. The strap securely attaches to the tripod hole of the camera (and has another hole so you can mount on a tripod without removing the wrist strap. The secondary protection is the hard to cut strap that attaches just like the neck strap, just on one side. Two downsides that I see. First, the D-ring comes out from underneath the camera just a tad too far but isn't really in the way of holding my camera, Nikon D5100, but I do feel it - not even sure why that bothers me. Second, I have a silicone jacket on my camera that curls around and underneath the camera so the strap part that attaches to the tripod hole goes flat against the bottom of the camera and the silicone sleeve has to be pushed up and away which defeats the purpose of the silicone sleeve but only on the bottom under the lens barrel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bulky, Heavy, but Comfortable on the Wrist This is a very comfortable strap when carried around the wrist but has some issues. First off, it is heavy; 5 oz. The hardware is top notch quality but perhaps more than necessary when it comes to the attachment plate. Perhaps this adds to the security but the majority of the weight is the attachment piece of metal. The fact that it attaches to the camera with the 1/4-20 screw, gives it a pivot point that turns easily. It is very bulky and with the weight of a large SLR, the plate does not stay in place, even with the rubber footprint on the attachment plate. This is due to the offset piece which extends to the right and juts out of the camera attachment area. It acts like a fulcrum and twists very easily. Security is compromised by the feeling it could come loose at any time. However, if the strap is only used as a secondary security device and the camera is held all the time, it fits around the wrist loosely, comfortable, and keeps you from accidentally dropping it. I use a 5D Mk4 with telephoto's in the field most of the time and this combo is way to heavy for this to be a "carry handle". As a security handle not engaged all the time, where you are holding the camera in one hand, it is great. When in a crowd or when you are on the move, it certainly gives a feel of security if you have no other strap or handle attached to the camera.
