The Heat Company Polar Hood Reviews

Great gloves for sub zero temp

I work about 250 miles above the arctic circle and do a lot of photo while at work, so these gloves have been a godsend. Most days are well below zero temperatures (Fahrenheit & Celsius) so having warm hands is essential to staying safe, but also enjoying my time outside. Being able to put hand warmers in the zippered pockets is a bonus for those really cold and windy days.

I purchased these along with The Heat Company Merino Wool Liners and Shell Mittens. The Wool Liners and Shell Mittens worked well in combination in -10 degree F. weather, but by the time I put on these Polar Hood Mittens, my hands were useless and I could barely grasp anything. I guess if you were outside for an extended period of time and didn't need to use your hand for absolutely anything these would work. I made the purchase for a trip to Canada to photograph the northern lights. The Polar Hood Mittens were so bulky that I did not even attempt to use them. By the way, the stitching on the Merino Wool liner gloves tore on each glove after about six uses.
