Brother MFC-J6535DW overview

  • 1Description

Move up to ledger-sized printing, scanning, copying, and faxing with the Wi-Fi equipped MFC-J6535DW XL Business Smart Pro All-in-One Inkjet Printer from Brother. One of the major benefits of this unit is the use of INKvestment inks, which focus on producing more prints for less cost, and this version comes with five sets of INKvestment inks that on average will provide enough ink for 2 years. This works with the high 4800 x 1200 dpi print resolution for sharp images and print speeds of up to 22 ppm in black and 20 ppm in color. Automatic duplex printing is also available. Along with these impressive printing specifications, the printer is equipped with a large 11.7 x 17" flatbed scanner and can scan up to 11 x 17" using the 50-sheet ADF. Scanning benefits from an optical resolution of 2400 x 2400 dpi as well as a maximum interpolated resolution of 19200 x 19200 dpi for sharp images.

General media handling is through a 100-sheet multipurpose tray and a 250-sheet standard input tray, which can both accept media up to 11 x 17". Users will benefit from intuitive operation thanks to the implementation of a 3.7" touchscreen LCD, which also allows for scanning to cloud services and directly printing from USB devices. Furthermore, in addition to Wi-Fi, the MFC-J5635DW has Ethernet and USB 2.0 connectivity.

Brother MFC-J6535DW reviews

MFC-J6535DW XL Business Smart Pro All-in-One Inkjet Printer with 5 Sets of INKvestment Ink is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 160.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible for multi user or low tech environment I am very disappointed with this printer. It falls asleep and loses the wifi connection and cannot seem to wake itself up. If you turn off the printer and turn it back on again all is OK. Who wants to be doing this every few hours when the printer is in another location. The only good thing about this printer is it has great printer cartridges which print an amazing number of pages. This printer is good for printing and copying that's all. Your software team should be embarrassed by this product! How difficult could it be to sense the wifi is not connected and trigger a reconnect every minute or so until it connects?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer, I like it! I do like the printer. The color is not as good as my Brother Color Laser Printer. It is a bit flat and dull but my laser doesn't print and scan 11x17 and that is why I bought this printer and that works very well and it is quite peppy. It zips out prints faster than any inkjet I have worked with. It churns for a few seconds and then squirts the print out. No wig-wag of the print head like the older inkjets. I sure would like to see how it does that. I would buy this printer again. The best thing I like about Brother printers is the high quality of the printer and the low cost of supplies. The savings really add up over a year.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Printer I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. Printer was very easy to set up out of the box. Took a couple of tries to get all of the computers to hook up to the printer via wifi. Once connected it printed quickly. After about 15 minutes it would go to sleep and you would have to physically turn it back on for it to print. My favorite part is all of the computers can hook up to this printer. We had currently been using an Epson Work Force 2260, for each computer. It this a better solution to what we had? Not really. It takes up more space than what we were use to, but overall it works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits my needs Perfectly! I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I have been looking for a good and affordable printer for my food truck/catering business. I believe I found it. It also came with a two year supply of ink and toner which was a great bonus. I don`t have to send my menus to the printers any longer, which saves me time and money. The color`s are vibrant and images are crystal clear. The unit is easy enough printer to use for someone who is not technology inclined like myself. Thank you for the opportunity to review a product that is extremely beneficial to my small business!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Color rendition is poor Satisfied with the printer with respect to efficiency, features, reliability, and overall cost. However, the color rendition is poor. For example, our logo, which includes a teal color prints properly on other inkjet printer brands in our office and also on our laser color printer. It is a faded blue color on the Brother MFC. Other colors suffer the same inaccurate interpretation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid printer for the price! Great printer for the price. Good color. Fast in both color and BW printing and in scanning. Produces clear, clean BW and color prints. WiFi and Apple Print work well and set up was a breeze. Sideways paper feed and output seemed different at first, but works great. I can't comment on ink use yet as I have not used it enough to have had to replace cartridges, but based on volume I have printed so far it seems good. Printing on both sides of paper is fast and jam free (was an important feature for me). Touch screen and menu structure are good. All in all, I have not come across any negatives with the printer for one in this price range and would rate it a great value for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far I love it Time will tell but so far this is a great printer. I've had it about a month. It has decent print and even photos aren't too bad. It was fairly simple to set up and it's really fast! Time will tell if I end up with jams but so far so good. My only complaint is that it's hard to grab the paper when it's done printing. Most printers have a spot where the paper is hanging off the tray so it's easy to grab. This one you take it directly from the tray and sometimes it's hard to grab.and in the process you can wrinkle the page. The price was right and I think the ink is cheap enough so it's a good deal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product. Manuals and help unsatisfactory. The machine is generally easy to operate and produces good results. Problem is with the manuals and help. There is no practical way to search for solutions to issues. There is no practical search function in manuals. Help has a search, but search results are very numerous - in the hundreds - answers to FAQs which cannot be refined to focus in on the issue.
