Made of aluminum, the heavy-duty Swivel Umbrella Adapter from Quantum Instruments is a great way to stand mount your light source with the added benefit of tilt and swivel adjustments. The adapter has a 5/8" receiver at each end for an industry-standard "baby" top stud. The oversized ratcheting handle allows you to reposition it while adjusting the 180-degree tilt, while a receptacle with tightening knob accepts 7 or 8mm umbrella shafts. The Swivel Umbrella Adapter comes with two 5/8" diameter studs that can be screwed together and used in the top of the Swivel for lights with a matching receiver. One stud has male 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads and the other has female threads to accommodate accessories. An optional cold shoe is available for shoe mount flash units.
