Designed for drummers, the RW200 from TAMA is a complex metronome which provides functions quite suitable for percussionists. For instance, you can dial in the volume of various rhythmic figures as they relate to a measure by raising the volume of an eighth-note triplet, an eighth-note hitting the up-beat, or a combination of the two. Other subdivisions are provided, as are an easy-to-grab tempo dial and a tap tempo button.
The RW200 can be set to give you anywhere from zero to nine beats in a measure, and once you've found the right tempo and time signature for a given practice routine, you can save the configuration via the store button. The RW200 provides 30 slots for storing such memories. A stereo headphone output is provided, as is a line output, making this a metronome useful in stage, studio, and practice environments. The unit can be powered by a 9V battery or a 9V power adapter, available separately.
