Really Right Stuff LCF-11 overview

  • 1Description

The LCF-11 Replacement Foot for Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Lens from Really Right Stuff attaches directly to the lens collar and locks into place by tightening the knob. The lens foot is made with a double dovetail design, which adds a quick release functionality to the bottom of the foot.

The replacement foot is compatible with most Arca-type clamps, and the double dovetail allows accessories to attach to the bottom or the top of the foot. By replacing the foot originally supplied, it gives the lens a lower profile and a lower center of gravity, therefore, it has a better balance when the lens is placed on a gimbal-type head.

The lens foot is CNC machined from a single block of 6061-T6 aluminum, and has a type-II black anodizing, which makes the foot resistant against scratches and corrosion. Located on the bottom of the foot are two safety stops, which prevents it from accidentally pulling the lens when the ball head clamp is partially open.

LCF-11 Replacement Foot for Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Lens is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worthy of your lens investment I bought this lens and this replacement foot. Whenever you can replace the lens foot rather than add another base plate, please do so. In this case, the RRS LCF-11 replacement foot is a perfect replacement for Nikkor's 70-200mm f2.8E FL ED VR standard foot. I mount this lens on both the Gitzo 5543XLS and 3543XLS tripods. My 55 model has the Wimberley WH-200 gimbal head II. The 35 model has the RRS BH-55 ball head. I can switch between both tripods with no additional plates, etc. needed. I suspect Wimberley (or other quality manufacturers) offer something similar. I only have experience with RRS replacement feet. Hope this helps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Expensive but has its value... Well made and definitely an improvement. The one design item I didn't like is the locking spring mechanism. The original Nikon seems to be a better design and functions well. It's a nit, but for the money you expect all of it to be superior machining. The longer base is great. Works very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE BEST Much better using this on my Nikon D-850 than Nikon's version along with an Arca Swiss attachment. This version is not only longer but I have no trouble attaching to camera like I did with the Nikon version, i.e. I'd have to attach the foot after lens was mounted to camera so I could position correctly. With this version which includes the Arca Swiss mold at bottom, I can attach either prior or after lens is mounted to camera. RRS is top quality and I have several of their products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not completely compatible to all collars Would be nice if the locking mechanism engaged to the RRS LC-A12, ON THE RRS webbsite is states being compatable to several collars, now i have to drill a hole for the locking mechanism to engage, purchaced this longer foot so as to fit a flash bracket and still be able to fit to a side mounted gimble, RRS i would have thought would have already considered this issue, being a universal plate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The new updated version is a nice improvement. As always with RRS very high quality material and craftsmanship. This appears to be an updated version in that the foot seems to be longer than the previous version which allows the lens to rest on the foot without being attached to the camera. Not a big deal but nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LCF 10 replacement Initially used the RRS LCF 10 replacement foot from my 70-200 VRII but physical changes in new lens made rotation difficult. This is slightly longer, balances well, fits perfectly, and accepts the QD attachment swivels. As with sll RRS gear, superb bu pricey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As always, RRS excellence! Have been using RRS for many years now, as always, the quality of this product is no exception They just keep improving the product, Fits like a glove, no movement and the long plate not only makes a hand old easy, the COG is better managed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bracket!!! I bought this foot to go with my new 70-200 mm Nikon lens. It saves you the trouble of having to install another bracket on the bottom of the factory bracket. Fits perfectly!!
