I recently purchased THIS LENSE, and I couldn't be more impressed with its quality and performance. Right out of the box, the build feels robust and well-engineered, which gives me confidence that it will withstand the rigors of regular use.
One of the standout features is the optical quality. The images produced are incredibly sharp, with excellent contrast and vibrant colors. Whether I'm shooting landscapes, portraits, or macro photography, the lens consistently delivers stunning results. The bokeh is smooth and creamy, which adds a professional touch to my images.
Another significant advantage is the lens’s low-light performance. It handles challenging lighting conditions remarkably well, producing clear, noise-free images even at wider apertures. This has opened up new creative possibilities for me, allowing for more dynamic shots without the need for excessive post-processing.
Additionally, the autofocus is fast and accurate, making it a joy to use for both still photography and video. I’ve found that it tracks moving subjects exceptionally well, which is crucial for capturing those spontaneous moments.
Overall, I highly recommend the [Lens Model] to anyone looking to elevate their photography. Its combination of build quality, optical performance, and versatility makes it a fantastic addition to any photographer’s toolkit.

For the manual focus setting: is this focus by wire or physical? I mostly shoot with vintage full manual lenses and I'm used the more physical dynamic. Whenever I use my one focus by wire AF lens the different figuring feel drives me a little batty.

PIDA257CBFBK has a double linear AF motor itself that affords quick, quiet, and smooth focusing performance, and this motor also offers snappy manual focus performance for fine-tuned control with an intuitive physical layout that incorporates a customizable focus hold button and a physical AF/MF. You can easily turn manual focus on the lens and use the ring to have a smooth manual focus performance.

This lens does not have a body/lens rubber gasket, how can it be dust - and moisture-resistant?
Asked by: Andres
The Sony FE 85mm f/1.8 Lens is only resistant to light rain and windy conditions; it is not weather-sealed like Sony's GM line. We always suggest using a rain cover when it is raining, since it is not guaranteed to be 100% dust- and moisture-proof.
