Steiner's Clip-On Thermal Imaging Module for AN/PVS-21 LPNVG is designed for enhancing your Steiner for AN/PVS-21 Low-Profile Night Vision Goggle's Near Infrared night vision with a thermal imaging capability. The module is built around its uncooled imaging sensor that offers 320 x 240 pixels of resolution and has a spectral sensitivity from 8 to 12µm. The device seamlessly integrates with your NVD by attaching on the side and delivers thermal images directly into the eyepiece using a color 800 x 600 pixel display. In addition, it has a video input port for integrating its own thermal images with external color videos for improved situational awareness. It can process input videos in SVGA, VGA, NTSC or PAL formats and can instantly switch between thermal and external scenery. For optimizing and improving target detection and recognition, the processor provides a full thermal, mixed, declutter, and edge effect mode.

The device is compact, lightweight, and waterproof. It withstands submersion to 9.8', a wide range of temperatures, and altitudes up to 30,000'.
