Really Right Stuff TFA-01 overview

  • 1Description

The TFA-01 Basic Pocket Pod and BH-25 LR Ball Head Package from Really Right Stuff is a great combination of a lightweight and portable table top tripod and an Arca-type compatible BH-25 LR Ball Head.

  • TFA-01 Basic Pocket 'Pod

The ultra-portable TFA-01 Basic Pocket 'Pod from Really Right Stuff supports up to 15 lb, and measures 5.8" when folded. Its aluminum-alloy legs each feature an independent spread and when fully splayed, provide a height of 1.5". To enhance stability, rubber feet are included at the end of each leg, all of which allow the level of tension that is applied toward their range of movement to be individually adjusted.

Cameras, lenses, sport optics, or accessories that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be directly connected to the tripod's 1.3" diameter platform. An adapter bushing is included for cameras, lenses, sport optics, or accessories that require a 3/8"-16 mount.

  • BH-25 Ball Head with Lever-Release Clamp

The BH-25 Ball Head with Lever-Release Clamp from Really Right Stuff is an Arca-compatible, single action tripod head that represents the smallest and lightest ball head offering in the RRS line-up.

Despite the BH-25's small stature it's an impressively capable support, able to hold up to 8.8 lb, while standing just 2.6" tall and weighing a negligible 7.8 oz. The single action design of the head allows the user to unlock the 360° pan and the ball at the same time, facilitating completely free movement in any direction and locking in any position. The T-style lever lock assists the user when locking and unlocking the ball head by providing a large grip for maximum leverage. The T-style handle is also set on a spring loaded ratcheting joint, which allows the user to rotate the handle, freeing it of obstruction caused by large tripod baseplates.

On the technical side, the BH-25 features a few classic additions that make the head almost universally compatible and customizable. The bottom of the head features a standard 3/8"-16 mount for wide compatibility with most tripod legs, while the connecting stem features a standard 1/4"-20 thread that makes swapping quick release clamps as simple as possible. Also, to save weight, the 0.9" ball uses a hollow design, which maintains strength while adding to the BH-25's lightweight design.

Really Right Stuff TFA-01 reviews

TFA-01 Basic Pocket Pod and BH-25 LR Ball Head Package is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazed by the top quality product I saw a good looking small tripod with a smart looking head that a skilled photographer was using. What is RRS? I finally found out and decided to buy from B&H. All the way from NY to Tokyo. Made in USA. Be happy Mr. President ! But. I am happier for this top quality designed product. You may not find the difference by just photos. But, materials, measurements, polish, easy to use, You can find the word precision with this. By smooth tightening with small actions, etc. One of the best products I have ever encountered. Price is not low. But, RRS products are RUP. Really Understandable Priced for the quality.
