Hi Thomas S, The dimensions of the unit are (W/H/D): Approx. 223.5mm 126.5mm 62mm (87/8inches5inches 21/2inches) (incl. projecting parts). The unit are requires 3 R6/LR6 (size AA) batteries. Thanks. Ralph
