Key Features
  • Safe Solar Viewing and Photography
  • For Lenses, Telescopes, and Binoculars
  • 12312-2 ISO-Certified SOLARLITE Film
  • Fits Outside Diameters from 65-89mm
Utilizing an ingenious spring-folded assembly design to hold them securely in place, these 70mm White-Light Universal Lens Solar Filters (2-pack) from Daystar Filters allow you to safely view or photograph the sun and solar eclipses. They are safe for solar viewing with binoculars spotting scopes, or multiple optics and lenses without having to move the filter. Made from 12312-2 ISO-certified SOLARITE film, each filter blocks more than 99.999% of intense light, plus 100% of harmful IR and UV radiation to reveal sunspots and super granules on the solar surface. Made to fit on the front of camera lenses, telescopes, spotting scopes, binoculars, or other optics and imaging devices, they accommodate housings, sunshades, and dew shields with an outside diameter from 65-89mm (2.55-3.50"). The filter has a clear aperture of 70mm, so vignetting may occur when used on lenses and optics that approach the maximum recommended diameter in the size range.

what size do i need for a 77mm lens?
Asked by: garfield
DayStar Filters 70mm White-Light Universal Lens Solar Filter (2-Pack, 65-89mm OD) fit over the whole lens, so you need to know the outer diameter of the lens, not the filter thread. This filter will fit any lens with an outer diameter between 65mm and 89mm.

question

when will this be avalable?
Asked by: JEROME H.
INot sure. But be aware the size u buy isn't exact filter size. I got mine for my sigma 150-500 mm. Even though it is 65-89mm filter it doesn't fit correctly. I got the next size up. The sigma lens takes 87mm filters but this goes over the outside of the lens so the thread diameter is not what to fit to.
