Epson WF-3720 reviews

WorkForce Pro WF-3720 All-in-One Inkjet Printer is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 383.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good solution for a home office I already have a WF3540 in my home office and based on my experience with that printer selected the WF-3720 for my primary office. The WF-3720 handles all my print/copy/scan needs. I don't have a landline, so I don't use the FAX feature. I'm pleased with the image quality and speed. It also syncs through Wi-Fi with a windows laptop and iPad. It's very convenient. I was a bit disappointed at how quickly I burned through my first black ink cartridge. I was in the process of reviewing and then executing legal documents but it seems like I only got a couple hundred pages on the standard size cartridge. Other than that I'm very pleased.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from More cheaply made than the model it replaced Although it performs the same functions as the WF3620 model which we used for about five years until it bit the dust, the 3720 is less robust. The paper cartridge is hard to open and to close properly--wants to jam and after only one ream of paper printing refused to load properly. It took me several minutes to get it to finally actually load and print again. The paper giuide about it that catches the printed paper is also quite flimsy and needs to be handled carefully. I havent seen any advantages for me as the customer of this unit over the 3620. It just seems to be more fragile and that may be because it was cheaper to make.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer/scanner This printer is a lot better than my Canon. The Epson came packaged very well a lot better than the Canon. Maybe a little too much tape and so forth to remove. To setup on the PC I went to the Epson site and downloaded and installed the software. The software included is very good, not much of the advertisement seen with HP. As far as the printing is concerned the quality is very good, and the scanner is very detailed. I had it scan a very old photo and it reproduced it very well on the computer. “This is a review for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-3720 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Slow, unreliable, costly ink This printer pretty much prints at the advertised speeds, but it takes forever to wake up. There is no seeing I can find to make it not go to sleep. It also seems to disconnect from my wifi every few days. In addition, Epson has added a new sensor chip embedded into their ink cartridges that tellsit when the ink is out. So you can't buy generic ink cartridges to save money. And you can't even use a refill kit to add ink into the OEM cartridges, as there is no way to reset the chip, so it still says it's out of ink. I am so disappointed in this purchase, and I willbe replacing itas soon as I can afford to. And not with an Epson.

Features: The 702 Standard-capacity black cartridge returns up to 350 web pages, while each CYM cartridge yields as much as 300 pages. The 702XL High-capacity black cartridge yields approximately 1,100 web pages, while each CYM cartridge produces as much as 950 web pages.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really easy set-up I just bought this printer today and as long as you follow the directions, the set-up is really easy and took a total of about 45 minutes from start to finish. I purchased this model because we run a small business and needed the document feeder function on it the most. It holds up to 35 pages to scan so that is very nice. When purchasing this printer, it states it does not come with a USB plug. Unless you are hooking it up directly to your computer or laptop, it's not necessary. It comes with the power cord and if you are using Wi-Fi, it really is the only cord you need. It prints nicely and so far I am very happy with it. At this point I would recommend this printer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seems good...but.... Just set it up. Setup was medium easy. Three start though because when I unboxed it, a top corner of the unit was "bashed"- not like it had been dropped but rather hit against a wall or something. It has a crack, two white scrapes, and a small hole where a chunk of plastic broke out. Approx. 3 inches from this impact strike the black plastic is grayed from stress, a true testament to how hard this thing must have been hit against something. I was worried it would not work right but so far so good. Disappointed though because this is clearly factory damage. This busted up corner was hidden underneath a strip of blue protective tape they put all over the printer for shipping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of features I replaced my WorkForce500 with this printer. It has more features and I'm still figuring it out. Initially, I didn't think the print quality was as good as the WF-500 when I was printing emails. However, Word documents seem to appear to be a bit more bold. Maybe there is a setting I don't know about. Yet. I did just try to print a photo and after overriding the"mismatch between computer and the printer" error message, so the photo could print on glossy paper, it turned out pretty nice. I like to use leftover pieces of glossy paper to print photos and I don't think this printer will accommodate that very well. I stick with Epson because I like the quality of print for photos.
