    ASUS PRIME X370-PRO reviews

PRIME X370-PRO AM4 ATX Motherboard is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from DOA - waiting to see results of RMA Would not post with on board video. Posted with GPU installed, but machine would hang after 5 - 90 minutes just sitting. Ran fantastic when it ran. Out for RMA repair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love this board beauty main board,, nice leds (aura) effects, works perfect
    Date published: 2017-08-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from For Content Creators who need dependability & expandability. FYI: There is *NO onboard graphics* with this board. No *Integrated Radeon GFX* so expect to buy a GPU when you purchase this. If you require that (and do not need a GPU for gaming but just to be able to do work related tasks) and are on a budget,(and you know who you are...) go with the Asus Prime B350M-A/CSM Mini ATX version of this board and you will be satisfied (especially if you are a gamer and dont plan on upfront workstation type work and require massive expandability such as PCIE lanes etc). *Most* AM4 boards do not have Integrated GFX. With that said, the board; as well as other vendors; since launch have had a few up's and downs mainly due to BIOS Support on launch, however as of June 26th, 2017 (BIOS 0805 & Updated AGESA to 1.0.0.6a) most of the issues have been ironed out except for a few minor RAM related speed issues, but this is *across* all boards on the AM4 platform. The manufacturer has been on point in pushing Bios updates as well as AGESA updates every time AMD pushes new CPU firmware to accommodate the many highspeed ram kits out there which by default are normally geared towards an Intel setup and the fact that this is new tech, this is to be expected. The board has great voltage protection, is pretty stable when used properly, the on UEFI EasyOverclock settings are a breeze to use even for a novice. With a little bit of research and learning (youtube, techtips, reddit, asus's main page) you can pretty much have this set up, and running in no time. If you are the type that requires expand-ability, either running SLI or Crossfire, or plan on using PCIEX-SSD' Drives, this will do you nicely. I chose this board mainly due to brand loyalty and just having overall a good experience with every Asus board I ever used. Extensive research made me lean towards this board and Asus's good customer service. The setup is simple and well explained in the manual provided (updated on the manufacturers website), as well as how to maintain and properly update your board's bios and other software in Windows (or Linux if you are that type of user as well). I am geared towards Content Creation such as Photoshop and Lightroom, and game casually and sometime's I stream to YouTube, FB, Twitch. Paired with a Ryzen 5 - 1600 or better, will allow you to run multi-core tasks effortlessly and flawlessly. I recommend the 1700 series or better if you do videography and or plan on using heavy duty GTX 1080's or VEGA for your gaming and video editing needs. Greater voltage and electrical protection etc. Do match this system with fast ram, I recommend Corsair or GSkillz DDR4 3200mhz as Ryzen tends to run significantly smoother with faster ram. I currently use Corsair Vengeance 16GB-3000mhz Ram.
