Power digital cameras, flash units, medical equipment, and other electronics that have high energy demands with this 4-pack of 1.2V Pro Rechargeable AA NiMH Batteries. Each features a capacity of 2700mAh, allowing it to deliver a great deal of power to high-drain devices over a short period of time. Thanks to a very low self-discharge rate, the batteries are capable of holding up to 75% of their initial charge after a year in storage. how long do they last in an unopen pkg? I have unopen pkg for 5 years few not charging.
They should last quite a while, however if it has been that long, I would recommend leaving them in a charger for a few cycles to "warm them up" a bit before using them in say a flash.

Will this Powerex charger properly charge Energizer brand NiMH batteries or only Powerex brand batteries? (Size AA 2300mAH & AAA 800mAH)
Battery manufacturers will strongly suggest that you use only their batteries and chargers. To their point, if you charge mixed batteries and chargers and anything goes wrong, the warranty is void.
The real world is that 90% of the time, you can mix and match batteries and charger without issue. To answer your question, yes, you can use that charger to charge those batteries but without a warranty.
