question

So versions that does NOT end with a X on Ryzen 5/7 comes WITH a Wraith Spire Cooler (with RGB/LED) while ending with X does NOT?
Asked by: Ronaldo
That is correct Ronaldo. If you want to save some bucks, the 1700 without X comes with Wraith cooler and it works fine as designed with LED ring. I did have to take the top 4 screws off to rotate the cooling fins 90 degrees so that the AMD logo reads upright on my son's clear case cover setup. You may not need to do it if you have a solid case or if you don't care about orientation. I did not need the extra X on the CPU chip for use with my MSI B350 Tomahawk mobo, 16 GB RAM. Right out of the box, all the cores share the load running his games and is much much more than adequate. My 12yo son is very happy with its performance and was disappointed that we didn't have to tweak anything, as I had intended and didn't want him to mess with it.

question

How much RAM does this support?
Asked by: Micah
As much as your motherboard will allow. Most good boards will do up to 4 x 16gb = 64gb.
