Capture sharp, detailed images at depths as great as 200' with Ikelite's 200DL Underwater Housing with Dry Lock Port Mount and Vacuum Valve for your Panasonic Lumix GH5 or GH5S Mirrorless Camera. An Ikelite bulkhead connector with a manual hot shoe connection enables reliable electrical triggering of optional, external strobes. Using the optional #46031 TTL circuit and hot shoe will allow for TTL operation with compatible Ikelite DS strobes; non-Ikelite strobes will still work in manual mode only.

Ergonomic mechanical controls, including pushbuttons, knurled knobs/dials, and levers, afford access to most camera functions. Built for durability, the enclosure is made in the USA from a corrosion-resistant polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend. It's white on the front, top, sides, and bottom, but clear in the back to allow you to monitor the O-ring seal and maintain your view of the camera's rear controls. The supplied aluminum tray with a left-hand quick-release grip affords improved balance and handling, while offering an attachment point for an optional lighting arm.

The housing ships without a required lens port, and accepts all Ikelite Dry Lock (DL) series dome and flat ports for a broad array of zoom, macro, and wide-angle lenses. See the Port Chart. The DL port system accommodates lenses with large diameters, and provides added security against leaks at the surface, thanks in large part to the included vacuum valve for checking watertight integrity before the dive. You'll need to pick up the required pump in order to remove excess air and actually create a vacuum.

Construction Details

  • Depth rating of 200'
  • Made by hand in USA from corrosion-resistant polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend
  • White on front, top, sides, and bottom to reflect sunlight and keep camera cool when shooting on or above water's surface
  • Clear in back to allow you to monitor O-ring seal and maintain your view of camera's rear controls
  • Open-groove design suspends rear O-ring in natural position, allowing for easier maintenance and preventing accidental twisting or stretching of O-ring
  • Camera mounting plate enables quick installation and does not need to be removed in order for you to gain battery or memory card access

Strobe Connection and Operation

  • Use of external strobe highly recommended for color-correction and adequate brightness, and basically essential once you descend further than 15-20' underwater
  • Strobe restores hues that get absorbed by water, so your images are vibrant and accurate
  • Try to stay no more than 3-4' away from subject to preserve natural colors in images
  • Ikelite ICS-5 bulkhead connector with manual hot shoe connection enables reliable electrical triggering of optional, external strobes
  • Using optional #46031 TTL circuit and hot shoe will allow for TTL operation with compatible Ikelite DS strobes; non-Ikelite strobes will still work in manual mode only

Controls and Handling

  • Ergonomic mechanical controls, including push-buttons, knurled knobs/dials, and levers
  • Controls afford access to all camera functions except for diopter adjustment control, rear control dial, and mode dial lock
  • Mode dial must be unlocked prior to installation in housing to enable use underwater
  • Extra-large, soft-touch zoom knob works with universal zoom gear system
  • Control symbols are laser-etched into back of housing so they won't fade or be rubbed off over time
  • Supplied aluminum tray with a left-hand quick-release grip affords improved balance and handling, while offering an attachment point for an optional lighting arm
  • Nearly neutral buoyancy in fresh water. Precise buoyancy varies depending on choice of lens and port

Lens Port System

  • Ships without a required lens port
  • Accepts all Ikelite Dry Lock (DL) series dome and flat ports for a broad array of zoom, macro, and wide-angle lenses
  • See Port Chart linked above for full compatibility details
  • DL port system accommodates lenses with large diameters, and provides added security against leaks at the surface, thanks in large part to included vacuum valve for checking watertight integrity before dive
  • Pump required in order to remove excess air and actually create a vacuum

I am new to the underwater housing world, but have a trip coming up to Fiji. What all do I need besides the housing for my GH5 with a 12-35 panasonic lens?
Asked by: Tommy
To use the Panasonic GH5 and the Panasonic 12-35 mm f/2.8 Panasonic G X ASPH Power OIS or the 12-35 mm f/2.8 II Panasonic G X ASPH Power OIS lens you need the following: 1. Ikelite DL 8" Compact Dome Port B&H # IK75344 MFR # 75344 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1283263-REG/ikelite_75344_dl_compact_8_dome.html 2. Ikelite DL 42mm Port Extension B&H # IK75042 MFR # 75042 needs to go between the housing and the port https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1283267-REG/ikelite_75042_dl_42mm_lens_port.html 3. Ikelite Zoom/Focus Clamp and Gear Sleeve Set B&H # IK5509.27 MFR # 5509.27 needs to go on the lens if you want to control the zoom. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1030865-REG/ikelite_5509_27_zoom_or_focus_clamp.html Lighting is also important for good results. Does the housing have enough clearance at the ...

Does the housing have enough clearance at the Lens mount for a metbones speedbooster either the standard speedbooster or the locking t-cine?
Asked by: Stephen
The Ikelite 200DL Underwater Housing for Panasonic GH5/GH5S with Dry Lock Port Mount and Vacuum Valve does not include a lens port. You have to choose lenses that are listed on the Ikelite port chart and buy the required parts. Ikelite does not support the Metbones Speed booster adapters. They do support select Canon lenses with the Metabones Canon EF Lens to Micro Four Thirds T Smart adapter. For help choosing lenses and ordering please email us at [email protected]

question

can i use panasonic 8mm f3.5 and 45mm f2.8 and 20mm f.17 ii with ikelite 8 dry lock system dome port with this ???
Asked by: Prateev B.
Thanks for asking. The Panasonic 8mm lens' short length and wide field of view cause significant vignetting. If you're interested in this coverage we recommend the longer Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 8mm F1.8 Fisheye PRO behind our DL 8 Inch Dome Port (product number 75340)

question

What port/extension rings for the Olympus 7-14 F2.8. You only talk about the Panasonic 7-14. What is the disadvantage to using the compact dome port over the standard 8 port?
Asked by: Steven
There are two port options for the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 7-14mm F2.8 PRO. Option 1: DL 42mm Port Extension (75042) + DL 8 inch Dome Port (75340) - This option will offer the best image quality, plus the larger dome port is better suited for over/under images where the water line is split. Option 2: DL 42mm Port Extension (75042) + DL Compact 8 inch Dome Port (75344) - This option is lighter weight and reduces the footprint of your equipment from a traveling perspective. The smaller dome port lets you get into tighter spaces for close focus wide angle images. You will need the Zoom Kit (5509.28) to adjust the lens' focal length. This will work with either of the aforementioned options.
