Yamaha RX-V383 overview

  • 1Description

Enjoy 5.1-channel surround sound with your favorite speaker system and the Yamaha RX-V383 5.1-Channel A/V Receiver. It has Bluetooth built-in for wireless connection to your compatible smart devices. The receiver outputs 70W per channel at 8 Ohms and features YPAO multipoint sound optimization to tailor the sound to your environment. In addition to Bluetooth, the RX-V383 has four HDMI inputs and one output, all of which support 4K, 3D, and ARC. It upscales non-UHD HDMI-connected sources to near-4K for an enhanced viewing experience.

This A/V receiver is equipped with Bluetooth functionality to let you enjoy easy wireless music playback from smartphones and other devices.
Compressed Music Enhancer
When music is encoded into a digitally compressed format like MP3, the frequency response suffers. The Compressed Music Enhancer employs digital signal processing using algorithms to restore what was lost, so the music always sounds closer to the way it should.
4K, HDR, and BT.2020
This unit supports the pass-through transmission of UHD video at 60 frames per second. Enjoy the high-definition video quality of UHD 4K without degradation. This receiver complies with HDCP 2.2 copyright protection, a standard for UHD video transmission. It also supports pass-through of the wider color gamut of BT.2020, plus ARC and CEC.
Discrete Amp Configuration
This A/V receiver employs a discrete amp configuration and a low-jitter PLL circuit.
A/V Setup Guide App for Easier Installation
The A/V Setup Guide app is designed to make it much easier to perform the setup process with the receiver. This app assists you with cable connections between the receiver and source devices. Additionally, it guides you through various settings such as speaker connections, display and source device connections, and power amplifier assignments. System illustrations and actual receiver images help you understand how to make the connections between devices. It is available in multiple languages and is designed for iOS and Android tablets.
SCENE Buttons for One-Touch Start
Pressing a SCENE button powers on the receiver and selects the input source and DSP mode. You can reset the buttons for different sources by selecting a source and DSP mode, then pressing a SCENE button for more than three seconds.
YPAO Sound Optimization
Every room is different. YPAO (Yamaha Parametric Room Acoustic Optimizer) is designed to analyze the room acoustics and adjust various audio parameters for optimum sound in just a few minutes, ensuring that the listening area is tuned to provide an enhanced audio experience.
With CINEMA DSP, you can experience a sound field that allows you to transform the dynamics of the listening environment with the acoustics of famous venues from all around the world.
Even when it's impossible to install surround speakers behind the listening position, Virtual CINEMA DSP reproduces virtual 5-channel surround sound for enhanced realism from only two front speakers. With Virtual CINEMA FRONT, you'll experience virtual 5-channel surround sound with augmented quality and resolution by installing surround speakers at the front.
Rich Bass Reproduction
This low-range enhancement technology is designed to deliver enhanced bass while maintaining good localization and sound balance even with compact front speakers. When a subwoofer is used, it improves the volume of the entire low range of the speaker system, not only the front speakers, but also enhancing the bass from the subwoofer.
Subwoofer Trim Control
The Subwoofer Trim Control is designed to enhance the low frequencies by avoiding overlap with the front speaker output to help produce a cleaner, more focused soundstage with a seamless frequency response. When subwoofer frequency overlap occurs, the overall sound is pushed toward the subwoofer; Subwoofer Trim remedies this by separating the low subwoofer frequencies, thus stabilizing the front stage and balancing the bass.
ECO Mode
When ECO Mode is turned on, it can reduce power consumption by up to 20% compared to when ECO Mode is off.
Selectable Standby
Auto Power Standby lets you save energy by automatically turning off the receiver's power after 20 minutes, two, four, eight, or 12 hours.
