How big of a room and crowd can these speakers accommodate ? Truthfully ?
Asked by: Jeffrey
The Maui 5 is well-suited for smaller venues of about 650 square feet and can accommodate audiences of approximately 50 to 100 people. It can be used for presentations, live performance (soloists, duos and trios, especially acoustic performers) or playing recorded music, but it is not intended to be used for playing excessively loud music or music with very deep bass.

I am wanting to connect my Peavy mixer to this ...

I am wanting to connect my Peavy mixer to this system and when I I use the rear XLR plugs I get no signal. If I plug into the topside mic jack it works. Am I not suppose to use the rear XLR plugs for an external mixer? What am I doing wrong?
Asked by: Javier
You can connect LINE level signals from your mixer into the rear XLRL/1/4-inch combo inputs. Be sure to set the output of your Peavey mixer to "LINE" level. It sounds like you are sending a MIC level signal, and that is why you are getting a signal from the front input, which is MIC level only.

question

Just wondered how the Maui 5 compares to the Bose Compact L-1?
Asked by: Clyde
Guven the price, it is a good choice for the budget conscious. Bose is the leader in this category and it wouldn't be fair to compare the two. Bose is offering a product built to professional live performance standards and audio quality to match. It is designed for many years of professional use. BOSE also provides amazing product customer and technical support. That said , the Maui is no slouch, but an alternative choice for those that find the BOSE L's price a bit steep.

question

I can connecting to other maui 5?
Asked by: Maikon
I think you mean to say: Can I connect another multiple Maui 5's together? We use 2 of them as a stereo pair by utilizing an Audio Mixer and we purchased the Alto Wireless Stereo System for Active Loudspeaker so we wouldn't have to run cables from our mixer to the 2 Maui 5s. Great speakers and I highly recommend them!
