This B&H Kit includes the ASUS Republic of Gamers Strix Z270E Gaming LGA 1151 ATX Motherboard, Intel Core i7-6700K, and two 8GB DDR4 2666 MHz memory modules, so you can start building a high-end system that can be enhanced. The 6th-generation Intel Core i7-6700K processor features four cores that run at a stock speed of 4.0 GHz and can achieve speeds of up to 4.2 GHz while running demanding apps. With an Intel Z270 chipset and unlocked "K" processor, the Gamers Strix motherboard can overclock the included processor over its maximum speed, providing the system with extra performance for gaming, editing, and other tasks. While operating at this level of performance, an optional liquid-cooling solution or high-performance air cooler is recommended. To keep up with these speeds, the provided kit of two 8GB DDR4 memory modules features XMP 2.0 profile support, allowing you to easily set the two sticks of memory to run at a frequency of 2666 MHz rather than the typical 2133 MHz speed of other RAM modules. Aside from hardware, ASUS offers 5-Way Optimization software that lets you easily and quickly configure all the major components, such as the CPU, memory modules, graphics cards, pumps, and fans.

    Ready for 7th Generation Intel Core Kaby Lake processors, the Republic of Gamers Strix Z270E Gaming LGA 1151 ATX Motherboard from ASUS is designed to fit in standard sized ATX cases. The Republic of Gamers Strix Z270E supports both 6th and 7th generation Intel Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium, and Celeron processors, the LGA 1151 socket, and the Z270 chipset. This motherboard is compatible with Windows 10 (64-bit), 8.1 (64-bit), and 7 (32/64-bit) operating systems. Also supported is USB 3.1 Type-A and Type-C, each of which can achieve data transfer rates of up to 10 Gb/s.

    The ATX form factor of the Republic of Gamers Strix Z270E can support 64GB of RAM and comes with four 288-pin dual-channel DIMM slots that can each hold 16GB of DDR4 3866 (OC), 3733 (OC), 3600 (OC), 3466 (OC), 3400 (OC), 3333 (OC), 3300 (OC), 3200 (OC), 3000 (OC), 2800 (OC), 2666 (OC), 2400 (OC), and 2133 MHz non-ECC unbuffered memory. It also has a total of 6 x SATA III 6 Gb/s ports, 2 x M.2 Socket 3 connectors that support SATA & PCIe SSDs, 1 x 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Type-C port, 1 x 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Type-A port, 6 x USB 3.0/2.0 ports (4 at the back panel, 2 at the front), 6 x USB 2.0/1.1 ports, 1 x Gigabit LAN port, dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.1. To provide data redundancy, RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 modes are supported. For those looking to expand their system using PCIe, there are 2 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 slots (single at x16, dual at x8/x8) and 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot (max at x4).

    The Core i7-6700K 4.0 GHz Quad-Core Processor from Intel is the sixth generation of the Core i7 product line that is now built using Skylake architecture. This processor features a base frequency of 4.0 GHz and, as with many Skylake technologies, it comes with features such as Intel Turbo Boost 2.0, Hyper-Threading, and vPro. With Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology, the maximum clock rate this processor can achieve is 4.2 GHz.
