    SHARKK Boombox+ reviews

Boombox+ Bluetooth Wireless Speaker is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way too much bass, mic doesn't work well I got this device to act as a conference call speaker. The microphone won't pick up your voice unless you are talking right over it. i had a room full of six people and we ended up just passing it around when we needed to talk. Not ideal. As for music, the bass on this device is way too high. It rattles everything including itself. It causes distortion. I ended up putting it on the floor at 60% volume just so it would sound okay and not rattle everything. Sadly I don't see a way to turn down the bass unless I control it from the playing source but sometimes that's not an option. Quality feels nice but the sound and function is sub par.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big sound from a little black box The device paired quickly, once I looked at the manual to see which button does pairing in addition to some other function. A dedicated pairing button would have been nice. The unit has a big sound for something so small, though the approach of making the unit vibrate in order to send bass frequency through whatever surface it is resting on is actually fairly annoying, and I have taken to putting it on a pot holder. The vibrations also cause it to walk across slippery surfaces. The unit includes an internal battery so I can relocate it to another part of the house without having to take the cord with me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good I like it a lot, great sound quality, only downer is it doesn't warn you when it's running out of battery.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well Built but Bluetooth doesn't connect sometimes The speaker is well built, solid, the buttons work, the sound gets nice and loud with a good bass, the battery life is good. The sound is not SUPER crisp, I imagine something like a Bose would have clearer sound. The bluetooth sometimes does not show up when trying to connect to my iPhone. I don't really mind, I just plug it into the auxiliary cord that it comes with. I also got this almost half price because of a B and H sale. If I was paying full price, I might have considered some other brands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid speaker with very good sound The Sharkk Boombox+ really delivers a lot of sound from a fairly compact package. It is about as long and wide as brick but not quite as tall. It weights a fair bit, indicating that it holds a lot of battery and therefore good run time on a charge. The speaker puts out a fair bit of bass and good midrange. The top end suffers a bit, but that also probably depends on the kind of surface it rests upon. It easily pairs with Bluetooth devices. The key is to rest the source device on the top right side of the speaker and then hold down the play button for a few seconds. The controls are intuitve and well laid out. There is a headphone output jack, and charging is via a standard microUSB connction. This item is well throught out and appears to be of very solid construction with good fit, finish, and function.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from will not charge!!! I tried and tried to get my new speaker to charge up so I could take it to my office Christmas party! that was a no go. the unit would not charge up! there were finger prints on unit after opening the box, so I'm thinking it had problems before getting to me!!! BUT, while it was plug up, the sound was great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Connected easily and sounds good I was looking for a simple take along speaker to use with the phone or iPad for streaming music. The Sharks connected easily and sounds pretty good too- Haven't tested the battery life too much yet but it seems like it will get us through a few hours of music without needing a recharge.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great sound; questionable reception This unit's sound quality is superior to my Jam + Unit I have. However the reception goes in and out when I have the unit on the table on our deck and the laptop sending signal just inside our kitchen unit. Placing the unit on the end rather than the normal side up helps.
