Apresys Optics 12x50 M5012 Binoculars
Key Features
  • Phase-Corrected BAK4 Porro Prisms
  • Broadband Fully Multi-Coated Optics
  • Ultra-Wide 78° Apparent Angle of View
  • Nitrogen-Filled, Water and Fogproof
Opting for a traditional Porro prism configuration, the Apresys Optics 12x50 M5012 Binoculars deliver performance while maintaining a classic look and comfortable feel. Its ultrawide field of view helps to minimize the distraction of visible hand-shake common with higher-power optics, while the large objective lens diameter draws in copious amounts of light to boost its low-light performance, such as at dawn or dusk, or under heavy canopies. Helping to boost its light-gathering ability are phase-correcting prism coatings and broadband anti-reflection multi-coatings, which ensure bright and clear high-contrast images with accurate color rendition and sharp resolution.

The ergonomic design is comfortable to hold and weighted to fit solidly in the hand to reduce hand-shake and fatigue. It is made of a lightweight and impact-resistant composite chassis that is wrapped in a protective slip-resistant rubber armor. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to make them waterproof and resistant to fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes. A large center focusing wheel, ±4 dioptric correction, and twist-up eyecups enable precise focusing and eye relief for just about any user. For long glassing session or to eliminate arm fatigue, the M5012 can be tripod mounted with an optional adapter.

Optical Performance

  • 12x magnification
  • 50mm objective lenses
  • Porro prism optical path improves the depth of field versus similar roof prisms to produce a rich viewing experience
  • Phase-corrected high-density BAK4 prisms limit internal light diffraction to improve contrast and clarity
  • Broadband anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics produce neutral and accurate color fidelity across the entire visible spectrum, and improves contrast and image brightness
  • Ultra-wide 78° apparent angle of view
  • 346' field of view at 1000 yards

Use and Handling

  • Textured center focusing wheel is easy to manipulate with or without gloves
  • 56-72mm interpupillary distance adjustment range
  • ±4 right-eye dioptric correction
  • Twist-up rubber eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewear
  • Tripod mountable with optional adapter
  • 11.8mm eye relief
  • Comfortable 5mm exit pupil
