The Ronin 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer and Steadimate 15 Kit from B&H offers a professional-level camera stabilization platform. This kit includes both the DJI Ronin 3-Axis Brushless Gimbal Stabilizer and the Steadicam Steadimate 15 Support System. Working together, these two devices allow the operator to shoot freely and unencumbered. The system checks linear and vertical motion, as well as compensating for pan, tilt, and movement along the horizon axes, so all unwanted motion is absorbed and eliminated.
By itself, the Ronin is a pro-level camera stabilization system designed to give the operator close to the freedom of unencumbered handheld shooting but without the hand-shake. The Ronin supports camera configurations up to 16 pounds. It utilizes brushless motors that work on three axes and features a computer-assisted precision of control of ±0.02°. IMU (inertial measurement movement) technology differentiates between intentional movement from unwanted shake, so you get the shot you want. In addition to handheld shooting, the gimbal can be used in vehicle mounting scenarios and other contexts where vibrations or other abrupt movements would make tripods and rigid camera support systems unsuitable.
Adding in the Steadimate 15 Support System adds another layer of stabilization and freedom for movement. The Steadimate 15 system is a classic arm and vest kit with a Steadimate gimbal mount that allows you to attach the Ronin. It incorporates a rotating joint that allows for tilt-axis manipulation while the Ronin is mounted. In addition to more freedom of movement and motion absorption, the Steadimate 15 system reduces arm fatigue by distributing the weight of the gimbal setup over the operator's torso. Having the weight more evenly distributed allows for the operator to more easily accomplish long takes and complex maneuvers with fewer breaks before or after shots.

question
Is the PXW-X70 compatible with DJI Ronin 3-Axis brushless Gimbal Stabilizer?
Yes it is. You will be able to balance the Sony PXW-X70, B&H # SOPXWX70, on the DJI Ronin.

question
will the DJI 3 axis brushless gimbal work with the Sony PXW-X70?
The Ronin is very adaptable. It can handle up to a 16 lbs camera but also can fly small MFT cameras. The PXW-70 is physically small, easily fits the Ronin and is about 3 lbs. There should be no issue between the two.

question
what's the difference in the 3 axis gimbal and the brushless gimbal?
You are describing a single item. 3-axis of stabilization as well as brushless motors for smooth and reliable movement.

question
Is there a recommended Steadimate (15 or 30?) for using with a Ronin and C300mkII/monitor/accessories build? I'm wondering if the Steadimate 15 model is enough or the 30 model would be overkill. Thanks.
The C300 Mark II, without thumb rest or grips weighs 3.9 lb (1770 g). A lens that you would likely use would weigh between 1-2 lbs, a monitor less than a pound. So that is about 7 lbs. Even allowing for extra stuff, you are well within the weight limit of 16 lbs. So you will be good with the 15 model. In this case, 30 would be overkill.
