NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-Series Graphics Cards
NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 10-series graphics cards can deliver up to a 40% increase in performance over the previous generation. Not only are they powerful, they can deliver similar performance to their desktop counterparts with a slight performance difference. This changes mobile gaming, allowing you to max out your game's visuals settings so you can enjoy it at its best. Furthermore, 10-series graphics cards are VR ready so plug in your favorite headset for a new computing experience.
Dolby Atmos Laptop
With Dolby Atmos technolgoy, the Y720 delivers immersive audio over headphones. Thanks to positional audio, you'll fel like you're inside the action as the sounds of people, places, things, and music come alive.
VR Support
The Y720 is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card and HDMI/USB 3.0 ports, so you can easily plug in your virtual reality headset and experience a different way to play.
Lenovo Nerve Sense
Lenovo Nerve Sense is the customization software that lets you adjust keyboard lighting, customize hotkeys, and streamline audio.
Integrated Xbox One Wireless Controller Support
The Y720 is built with integrated Xbox One Wireless controller support so you can take a break from the keyboard and mouse.
Programmable Backlit Keyboard
The programmable backlit keyboard on the Y720 lets you type and game in dimly lit or dark environments. Swap through its wide range of colors to find one that fits you. Moreover, it's programmable so you can adjust keys as needed.
Thunderbolt 3
Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.
Make Music Anywhere
Stagelight is a software for creating music that's included on your Legion Y720. It's available on other Windows devices, including smart phones, tablets and desktops. You'll be able to make beats, mix loops, or create full songs with vocal tracks.

Windows 10

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana, can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the Internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information-gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.

    Lenovo 80VR001BUS reviews

    15.6" Legion Y720 Notebook is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 81.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast Capable and Impressive Device I bought this laptop about 2ish months ago, and have since then really been putting it through it's places. I play a moderate amount of games, especially new ones, and have really been trying them out on this new machine. And I am happy oo say that the results have been great. Take most recently the Battlefront 2 beta. The computer can manage at 1080p, a mix of high/ultra settings, a stable 60FPS, no dips or fluctuations. Another thing to point out are the speakers. Amazing quality, they have a real boom to them that makes gaming, watching movies, or even music sound great. Really unbeatable at this price point. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good laptop overall. I received the laptop 2 days ago and so far its great, it feels very expensive, doesnt feel cheap at all, very sleek and sexy for a gaming laptop, only things i didn't like was that there is no optimal disk drive, the screen is not very bright (i like super bright stuff) and the battery life isn't very long, but that's pretty much it. everything you need in a gaming laptop is fully provided in this laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Lenovo y720 experience I actually won this at the Lenovo legion lounge party for pax west. When i got it i was blown away with the design. The monitor has a very sharp picture and the sound is easily the best I’ve heard from a laptop. I did need to upgrade to 16 gbs of ram for a few more demanding games but this laptop easily replaced my desk top. I use it often between. Home. Work and travel. So it’s more practical for me to use over desktop models. I give it a 9/10 i would love to see maybe one more usb slot and possibly having the hdmi port /2 USB ports ports moved from the right side of the laptop to the rear. But that’s just a personal preference. Great product tho I really enjoy it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall great laptop I purchased this laptop in early December 2017, and so far have loved it. The dedicated graphics card was the main selling point for me, and it's held up quite well so far. The SSD is speedy and the only issue I have is wanting to upgrade to a bigger SSD. The Legion looks and feels like a gaming powerhouse and it is. If I had to be nitpicky, the keys sometimes squeak and if it's in a quiet environment, it can be a little annoying. Otherwise, it's a great laptop that I highly recommend. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extreme Accuracy About two months ago I bought the Lenovo Legion Y720. I have been wanting a high performance gaming laptop for a long time, however I'm the type of guy that usually buys things with cash so i have not revolving credit. The fact that your website was so easy to use and provided multiple financing options is what put this laptop in my hands and it's the second reason I went with Lenovo. The first one is that you guys make amazing products that have a lasting quality. Nothing I've ever bought from you has been of low quality. Keep up the great work. Thanks again, Aaron [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bang for the buck for gaming! I've searched high and low and for the money, this is the best spec'd out gaming laptop for the money! Packed with i7 quad 7700HQ and GTX 1060 6GB, this thing is a beast. The screen is nice and bright with a fine smooth matte finish that doesn't glare in bright daylights. The only thing I am not fond of about this laptop is the red color scheme on the keyboard - It has been done a gazillion times by different manufacturers. The speakers are nice but I've heard better from MSI gaming laptops. This one is lacking some bass. Overall, I give this laptop a 9/10. Buy one! You won't regret it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For the money, probably can't do better After a recent debacle with another company, I was skeptical of "power" laptops in this price range. I know there have been some driver issues with this specific machine, but it looks like they have been resolved. The laptop looks great, and has super cool superficial features. The sound quality (without external speakers) is pretty solid. I have the 1TB SSD version with 16 GB of RAM and the latest i7. For those specs, to be the price point seems to be a steal - and also a concern. But after reading some reviews I figured it was worth a try. So far, so good. I had some issues after installing Origin (conflicts with boot registry) but a quick chat with EA and that was solved. I know it's petty, but I love the light-up keyboard, and the different settings through Lenovo's Nerve Sense. It seems counter-intuitive to have the vents on the bottom of the laptop, but it stays pretty cool. And if you feel it start to overheat, you can kick on the "extreme cooling" fan. The keyboard takes a minute to get used to, because it stuffs the 10-key in the very top right corner. But once you get used to it, no big deal. Performance-wise, it's pretty amazing. The 1TB SSD is lightning fast, it really is worth the extra bucks. I do light video editing, sound editing, website design, and always have music playing in the background. Haven't had a problem yet. The only thing I would improve on the machine is the display. It is good - nothing that should stop you from buying it. I just wish it were a bit brighter, crisper, something. But all in all it's a solid machine and worth the purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from great with a major flaw I bought this back in december and its a pretty solid laptop overall. Its fast, fairly quiet, stays cool and has a nice look to it without being too flashy like other gaming laptops. The problem is the screen. I bought mine with the standard 1080p screen and the thing is the dimmest screen I have ever used even while on max brightness... It makes it so i feel like i have to squint to see everything. The screen is seriously maybe the same brightness as my phones when my phone is a little under 50% brightness.. its crazy. So far i only use it if i hook it up to an external monitor or for class.
