Gitzo GIGT0545T Traveler Series 0 Carbon Fiber Tripod

The Gitzo GIGT0545T Traveler Series 0 Carbon Fiber Tripod is a compact support system with legs that fold around the center column and optional head. These reverse-folding legs contribute to the tripod's folded length of just 14.4". It extends to 48.2" high and can hold up to 22 lb worth of gear. With the included short center column installed, the tripod can get down to 7.9" for macro or low-angle shooting.

The tripod employs Carbon eXact tubing for added strength and stiffness compared to the Carbon 6X tubes. Traveler G-lock is a pared-down version of Gitzo's G-lock, specifically designed for the Traveler tripods to reduce overall size. These legs feature space-saving feet that fit the Traveler series' compact design. A shoulder strap is included for easy carrying.

Gitzo GT0545T Series 0 Tripod with Center Bal... Reviews

Very small folded. Still tall enough for landscape photos

I ordered this Gitzo while travelling across US Southwest parks. It has been timely delivered to my hotel on the road. The tripod is extremely light and you can carry it almost like a trekking pole in one hand. It is also very compact folded and you can put it to a quite small backpack (mine has 24 liters) with all other stuff. Expansion of legs and setting tripod on the ground is quick. The ball head adjustment is smooth, position lock is steady. I use Sony A7 with 24-105 zoom and the tripod was steady even at a medium strong wind in the mountains. I removed Gitzo plate from the head and could easily fix my camera with an Arca plate on. This is my second tripod. I really appreciate the compact size and light weight of this Gitzo. It means I will take it more often on mountain trails.

Smallest tripod I've ever owned

Every travel tripod I've ever had has been bigger than this one. but in the end its all about how sturdy it is not how big it is (unless you are really tall and hate bending) If you wanna travel light without sacrificing quality - this is a great choice

I love this light weight Gitzo Traveler Tripod!

I love this tripod for long walks/hiking or when I'm not sure if I will need a tripod. I prefer the Systematic Series 3 tripod when not walking far or doing a lot of night shooting. For the other times, this is the best choice for my tripod. I can't say enough good things about the Gitzo tripods and this Series 0 traveler is very nice!

The last Tripod you will by for Travel

First, I will start out that is made like a fine piece of equipment. When you tighten up a knob, you know it is tight. After a few uses with a Canon 5D and 100-400 telephoto lens. It worked great as long as I was using delayed shudder release. Extending the legs are a snap, you can with one hand loosen all three extenders at once. Only down side is its a fine price of equipment and you need to take care of it. Both aluminum ball aligner knobs can fall out if you let them back-out all the way. Bottom of legs have nice rubber feet that can be un-screwed to level one or two of your legs. And yes they can be lost if you let them un-screw all the way out. So the moral of this story is; Treat it right and it will treat you right...

I wanted to have a small and light weight tripod, and purchased this Gitzo Series 0 Traveler. I feel like carrying a legal size note pad in my hand, but yet it is very stable.

I just purchased at GT0545 Series ) Traveler and I am very disappointed in the quality of the product. I used it for the first time just a few days ago and extended one of the legs which popped out a plastic piece and I tried putting it back in the carbon leg and it got stuck at the opposite end of the tubing and is stuck and I cannot collapse back to where it was. I am very disappointed in this product.

Outstanding!

As an owner of a series 3 system tripod I'm used to solid stability. Needing to cut some weight out and be more more efficient. Don't let the size fool you. I support a Leica SL with SL 16-35 lens. The head adjusts quickly and easily with no sag. This folds over onto itself and stows on the bottom of my bag. It's an awesome tripod.

I would be careful about that kit on the 0545 - the kit is heavy for this tripod. Use with the center column down, and perhaps the legs not fully extended, in wind-free conditions.

How well would this tripod work holding a Mamiya RB67 and lens?
Asked by: James
The specifications say this tripod will hold 22lbs so that should be plenty for your setup. I think the issue might be that the ballhead is small and your camera has a wide square base in comparison, so getting to the ballhead knobs underneath your camera might be challenging. I use this tripod for a lightweight mirrorless setup while hiking.
