BST1080pGlasses Full-Frame Glasses with Covert 1080p Camera is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from worts product I have purchased from B&H in over twenty years I very rarely write reviews or comments on professional video equipment. Lack of time, or a sense that others can do the product reviews better. And yet I appreciate others who dedicate their energy to honest reviews or critic. And yes, I am a professional television documentary film maker, having most of the new toys and tools which make our life easier and great to explore, without hiring big crews. Since my specialty is crime exposs, and imbedding myself with bad guys I use a lot of surveillance equipment. I have most of the best pin-hole/button cameras, eye-glass cameras, and also 2K or 4K action cameras hidden within common objects -- so yes, I have experience with this equipment. So much for background, now my comments on this atrocious product that never should have been offered by a prestigious global online seller like B&H. This is one of the worst examples of a con-job in the equipment world. Totally USELESS. Simply of no value to a hobbyist, semi-professional, or a professional who is in need for an overt or covert recording tool that is not immediately recognized by your surrooundings. Most eye-glass cameras fail in one aspect. They look suspicious, in some sense or another. This pair does NOT, and that is the only positive thing to say about them. Now a few details which should make you runn as fast as possible away from ever contemplating a purchase: 1/ A hopeless manual, well it's not so much a manual as a flimsy piece of paper with a poor Google translation from Chinese. Most of the instructions are hopeless, and unless you have worked extensively with this sort of stuff before you will have no way of making a recording or transfering a file over to an editing program. 2/ Poor battery compartment, which is inside one of the eyeglass arms, and attaches to the glasses with a squeeze. Basically making the thing rickety, and falling off your nose and separating from the main part of the two part frame. 3/ Poor (or non-existing) information on how to stop and start recordings, once the unit is turned on. 4/ And now what we have waited for most: picture quality. Yes, it is 16-9 aspect ratio, but truly awful, even in good light. It brings back the era of twenty years ago, when we used to buy cheap video recorders in Hong Kong and Bangkok. 5/ There is simply no redeeming value in this piece of equipment, other than a fairly nice box it arrives in. I am still waiting for a good pair of eye-glass camera, which is not screaming covert surveillance and offering decent 2K video quality. This pair of glasses is certainly not that product.
