Available for download, AlgoReverb by 2nd Sense is software which applies reverb to a sonic signal, working towards giving the sound a sense of space. Unlike a convolution reverb plug-in, which generates ambiances based off the impulse responses of real-life, sampled rooms, AlgoReverb works on algorithmic principles which simulate an ambient response, rather than sample one. Generally, algorithmic reverbs are less of a CPU drain on your host workstation than their convolution counterparts, thereby allowing you to instantiate more of them in a session.
This plug-in provides controls to control the length of predelay, the size of the simulated room, the length of decay, the high-frequency damping, early reflections, and more. Its mix control allows for implementation on auxiliary channels or on individual tracks. Compatible with Windows and Mac platforms, AlgoReverb works in VST 2, AU, and AAX formats.
