Quite suitable for standing drummers playing cocktail kits, the 5000S Sidekick Pedal from DW Drums facilitates upward strikes, and can be used to hit the bottom side of a compatible floor tom. It utilizes a 0.5” rod, roughly the length of a floor-tom leg, that slips into any DWTB12 floor-tom bracket, as well a rope drive which achieves a natural feel. As this is a 5000 series kick drum pedal, all the usual features are present, including Delta Ball-Bearing hinges and a 101 2-Way beater. A Bearing Spring Rocker Assembly is also on hand, mounted to the aforementioned 0.5” rod. If you’re seeking to use this pedal with a PDP kit, the 0.4” version of the rod has been provided.
