Brother HL-L8360CDWT Overview

Make sure your workgroup can handle a large volume of print jobs without issue with the HL-L8360CDWT Color Laser Printer from Brother. With print speeds up to 33 ppm and being equipped with an additional 500-sheet input tray, this unit can blaze through jobs with ease. Documents can be created in full color and with high quality thanks to a 2400 x 600 dpi print resolution. Users will also benefit from automatic duplexing and built-in Wi-Fi with NFC connectivity, which enables a variety of mobile printing options.

Along with the 500-sheet input tray, the HL-L8360CDWT has a 50-sheet multipurpose tray and a standard 250-sheet input tray. This setup allows for the use of a variety of media from 3 x 5" up to 8.5 x 14". Another advantage of this model is ease of use, thanks to an intuitive 2.7" color touchscreen LCD. Also, it has a front USB port for direct printing from a portable drive. Additionally, it comes with USB 2.0 and Ethernet connectivity as well as the Wi-Fi and NFC.

First print out time of 15 seconds.
Monthly duty cycle is rated at 60,000 pages with a recommended monthly volume of 4000 pages.
Supports Apple AirPrint, Brother iPrint&Scan, Mopria, Cortado Workplace, Wi-Fi Direct, and NFC for mobile printing. Also, has web connect options for Evernote, OneDrive, OneNote, Box, and Dropbox. Various Brother cloud apps are also available, including Office Print.

Would actually lean to 3.5 stars. Print quality is very good. Printing speed on multi-page documents is compromised by too frequent spooling. Typically prints 3-4 pages consecutively, then pauses a few seconds before doing the next few pages, etc. There is not an obvious connection point for a wired connection, so don't know if the buffering/batching is related to wireless speeds or just how the printer handles the print data.

This printer is very VERY slow. The output tray is so darn small that after printing a couple of pages, your prints fall on the ground—this is super annoying especially when printing pages in sequence. Toner cartridges runs out sooo incredibly fast, even when you have super low coverage. I would not buy again.

The only downside to this printer is that the back up tray is larger than tray 1, which is the auto selected printer. I'm probably missing some setting in my printer tables to auto-select tray 2, but it's kind of a pain to constantly be swapping back and forth. Otherwise, what a boon to our office. Fast, silent and prints like a dream.

We were able to get this printer quickly. However, it is not as quick as most printers when printing. When you hit print, it's a bit longer before it even starts printing. And it is VERY loud. More than normal.

According to the user manual, it is recommended that you use the Multi-Purpose tray for label printing. "When the back cover (face up output tray) is pulled down, the machine has a straight paper path from the MP (multi-purpose) tray through to the back of the machine. Use this paper feed and output method when you print on labels."

The Brother HLL8360DWT machine is not able to print Ledger size paper. Brother does not manufacture any laser machine that will handle that paper size. We recommend you to check our Inkjet models.
