The WD 256GB Black NVMe M.2 Internal SSD is a PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe-based solid-state drive built with the M.2 2280 interface that's widely found in many systems ranging from full-tower desktops to compact, space-saving PCs. After installing the drive, you'll have 256GB of storage space and be able to quickly access and save files and documents thanks to its 2050 MB/s read and 700 MB/s write speeds. Built with multiple thermal and power management features, it stays within operational temperatures to maintain high performance. Moreover, you can download the WD SSD Dashboard and Acronis True Image software to manage your drive's health and clone drives.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Economical for budget gaming rig I ordered the WD 256GB Black NVMe M.2 internal SSD for my son's first computer build, a budget gaming machine. B&H offered a great price, and delivery was as promised in 3 days time. At the time we ordered, this was the most economical SSD that could take advantage of our motherboard's PCIe 3.0 slot in an M.2 form factor. Certainly not the fastest SSD, but still faster than SATA. We successfully installed it first try as part of our build, and it has performed well for the two days we've been using it. Installing Windows 10 from USB stick took under an hour, and boot times have been less than 10 seconds. We have been very pleased.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's working, bechmark is low given NVMe technology. Hopefully it's more reliable than the 960 EVO which has high fail rate. Otherwise I would pick 960 EVO over this any time. Bechmark is slow comparing to other Nvme.
